These updates from Jon Feinstein, Gottlieb, Esiason, etc are fucking brutal. Someone should be fired for green lighting these.

Only bright side I can think of is seeing how far either Dan will go in their "joking" about them.

Well, football starts today and everybody's going to be very excited. There will be kickoffs and pass plays and touchdowns. Many fans will be cheering on their home teams with painted faces bonding with their buddies one more time with their annual tailgate. Now is the time of the year where everybody has Super Bowl dreams and their teams are unstoppable. Unless you died in the last year and then you probably aren't as excited as the rest of us for the coming season. I'm Joe Blow and that's the CBS Sports Minute.

What, Gottlieb's hurricane humor didn't do it for you?

The "CBS Sports Minutes" aren't going anywhere, but the jingle should be 86th-ed.

I assume they're either getting paid for these or they had no choice?

We get that they aren't going anywhere. I believed you the first 17 times.

And I know you were prominently involved in integrating these things SHARK. it's obvious.

These are fucking brutal.

Especially the Feinstein ones. "If Snedeker wins, he'll be a great Ryder Cup pick" "Tiger doesn't strike fear in the hearts of other golfers anymore". No shit? Way to go out on a limb.

He's like the Elmhurst Steve of network radio.

Tiger Woods has been just another golfer since that accident, scandal & the end of his marriage.

These CBS Sports updates suck. Hopefully the Score wont be forced to broadcast any national shows or other crap.

That remains to be heard. CBS Sports Radio doesn't start its sports talk programming until January. The only thing I'm reasonably sure is that Yahoo! Sports Radio, which The SCORE airs overnights Fridays into the wee hours of Saturday morning & late Saturday nights into early Sunday mornings, will be history in the New Year.

Keep 'em. I love the post-segment reaction by the on-air hosts.
I can't wait until Doug Gottlieb gives his take on college basketball players who steal credit cards.

The Score hosts are even making jokes about the CBS Sports Minute reports. They're fucking terrible. They sound very amateurish & the topics are just plain stupid. If these updates are any indication of what is yet to come from CBS Sports Radio, I'm really going to miss some of the Yahoo Sports Radio hosts.

Remember when they did that stupid thing called "Best of the Best"? It would be like

"THE SCORE'S BEST OF THE BEST! THE MIKE NORTH MORNING SHOW, MORNINGS 6 TO 10"
"Alls I'm sayin' is I still tink under certain circumstences dat if dey can use dat word, I can use it too!"
"LISTEN ALL DAY TO THE SCORE"

and then B&B would play the "Whaaat?" drop. Or "Gay." That is the fate of the CBS Sports Minute.

The daily "What stupid thing did Nort' say today" segments were the best part of the day.

fixed.

incidentally, when the guy belts out the impassioned "CBS SPORTS RAAAAAAADDDIIIOOOOOOOO" at the end of the minute, i can picture a scene in a recording studio reminiscent of the one in private parts where pig vomit/virus is coaching howard on how to say W-NNNNNNNNNNNNN-BC with passion and pride and emphasis on certain syllables. that is one majestic utterance of CBS SPORTS RADIO if i ever heard one...... even tho they're totally ripping off * lil guitar riff * SPORTING NEWS RAAAAAADIIIIIIOOOO * guitar wailout *
