NBC stuck with its national programming instead of observing the moment of silence at the time of the 9/11 attacks that are normally observed on this date. While national viewers of "Good Morning America" and "CBS This Morning" aired the somber remembrance, "Today" aired Savannah Guthrie's interview with "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" mom Kris Jenner on her breast implants. New York City's local affiliate WNBC did cut in with local programming covering the moment of silence, coordinated with New York and D.C. starting at 8:46 a.m. ET, but the national programming stayed with Jenner. In the video, Guthrie announces that it's 8:45, one minute before the moment of silence begins, then launches into the interview. As the Kardashian mom told Guthrie of her decision to film her breast implant operation, Jenner and Guthrie seem unaware of the sober event happening at that moment. Jenner jokes about changing her breast implants, saying, "The reason I went in and did that was because I had had my implants in for 152 years -- you know, a long time, way longer than their shelf life." |

I'm offended that a national show, albeit a terrible one, would do a segment on someone's fake titties regardless of the timing. |

Good catch! I bet NBC will catch a lot of grief for this. Maybe it was a way to draw attention to the faltering Today Show? |

im not a big "moment of silence" guy for anything. i mean, i do it out of respect for others and i dont talk during them or anything, but i remember back plenty on 9/11 and other important events on my own. ive always thought the moment of silence stuff at the beginning of a ballgame or something was kind of contrived. "ok everyone, all together now..........on the count of three.........remember 9/11....................NOW!...............................thank you very much. that was great. now lets all have a great time!" |

For shame! It's bad enough that E! is now part of the NBC Universal family, but to have Kris Jenner on "Today" around the time of the 9/11/01 terrorist attacks when everyone else was observing a moment of silence is disrespectful. |

I don't think there would have been the same reaction if the interview was one brainless talented twit in Savannah interviewing the mother of america's official whore who is a no talent brainless ho herself Kris Jenner. I just wish she had met Drew Peterson. |

All this 9/11 bull shit is nothing more than chest beating. What the fuck does "never forget 9/11" mean anyway? It was a horrible tragedy, yes, but are there people really walking around saying "what was 9/11 again?" or "fuck the 9/11 victims"? Our country is filled with idiots like... I don't know...Scorehead. |
