Got to the order board and ordered a large fry and a cup of ice. Line was long. Took about 3 minutes to get to the window. They give me the fries. I say, "excuse me, I had a cup of ice, too". They tell me to pull into spot #2 and they'll bring it out to me. I don't move. They turn around, see I'm still there and tell me to pull over. I say "for ice"? She then grabs a cup, spends literally 3 seconds putting ice in it and gives it to me. Efficient. |

I get into political fights with the old man who hands me my food... He calls me Doctor because I graduated college. He's not a fan of Obama. |

I had a similar experience where the only thing I ordered was a large coke (cause McDonald's coke is no joke) and when I got to the window they told me to pull up and I told them no and made them take the 4 seconds it took to make the large coke right then and there. |

The McDonald's next to me is awful. Every time you get to the last window, they ask what you got. You tell them; they leave, then return and say "you got a 'x', right?" You say no. They then leave again and come back. This process can repeat itself anywhere from 2 to 4 times per visit. It happens every time, without fail. Then again, we keep going back, so it probably says more about us than it does Mickey D's. |

I hate the people that do pull up from the drive through waiting on their order and they barely pull up far enough for the next car to come up to the window and with no way for that next car to leave the drive through lane. It is like they are afraid of not getting their order |

The entire idea of pulling up and waiting for the food to come out defeats the purpose of why I went through a drive-thru in the first place. It's no longer "fast food." I usually just pull up even though I'm pissed about it because I can only fight so many fucking battles in a day. But I have a friend who is pretty much of an asshole who just refuses to pull up. He says, "Watch how fast we get this shit now." Culver's is famous for asking you to pull up. Every time I would go there with this guy they'd ask us to pull up and he would say, "I prefer not to lower my self-esteem. Thanks for offering though." |

Worst McDonald's drive-thru in the Western world. |

No shit. This whole pulling up thing is a product of the last ten years. Seems like a bullshit strategy developed by these companies to maximize the amount of cars going through the drive-thru. Like some dude, e.g. me, would say "fuck it" and drive away if he saw a line of cars spilling on to Cicero Avenue at the McDonald's. And this is the result. I don't think they realize how annoying it is to have to wait and watch 3-4 cars behind me get their food before me every time I order a fucking spicy chicken sandwich at Wendy's. |

My wife is a store manager for Mcdonalds. If you guys have problems at a store, you should call the 800 number on your receipt. The stores are held responsible for things by corporate. |

I haven't gotten the "pull up" request in about 10 years. I thought that policy was abandoned a long time ago by fast food places. I do know that McDonalds has really streamlined their opertation over the past decade. Their lines always look on the big side, but the line always moves fast as hell. Same goes for Portillo's. They got their shit figured out. The only slow moving Drive Thru I can think of is Burger King, but that's because no goes there, and they only have about 2 or 3 people working inside at any time. |

How can it be that a guy taking orders outside is any different than a guy taking them over a speaker system inside? I guess it's because the guy outside can get three or four orders while the cars aren't moving. McDonald's tried to achieve the same thing with the double drive-thru but that doesn't seem to work and it pisses me off when I was there ahead of a guy and he gets in front of me because the car in front of him ordered a simple coffee and the guy in front of me had all kinds of specials requests like cups of ice. |

McDonalds moves quickly for the most part Dunkin Donuts needs to streamline their Drive thru. Too many people waiting for a coffee behind a guy getting a fucking flat bread sandwich. The old manager at my DD would have the sandwich people pull around and by the time they got back the sandwich was ready and 4 more people got their coffee. |

This thread is the essence of the board. I had to pull up the other day after ordering 2 big mac meals. She comes out to my car to tell me that she is sorry about the wait and they are waiting on the fries, she told me she would upgrade me to large fries to apologize. I see about 3 cars go up to the window and get their food and leave before she comes out with my food. She says that she didnt have enough fries to give me 2 larges. So now I'm pissed about something I didnt even order. If you didnt waste all the fries on the cars behind me I would have my two free large fries!!! |

Potbelly is terrible, but I go there on rare occasion b/c it is across the street. Sometimes the line will be out the door and and somebody will be taking orders on a iPad type deal. How the fuck do I know what to order? I'm outside and can't even see the menu asshole. It's not like I memorized the fucking menu last time I was here a month ago. All these fast food places are the same, I walk in the goddamn door and I get "can I help you?" Give me a fucking minute for crissakes. Jersey Mikes is another one. "DOYOUWANNITMIKESWAY??" WTF are you talking about? WTF is Mikes way? They think we live and breath their business like they do. |

My friend- the same one who refuses to pull up in the drive-thru- was hosting the party and pre-ordered a bunch of wings. I forget where it was, maybe a BWW. He had ordered something like 12 or 15 dozen. So when we got to the store, the manager said our order would be ready in a few minutes. My guy was already on edge because he had asked for 1:00 pickup and it was already after 1:00. So he asked the manager why his stuff wasn't ready and the manager replied that they were still cooking them. When the next customer came in behind us, the manager asked us to step aside. My buddy, who is a big fat guy, spread his arms out and said, "No. You're not giving anyone else the wings that should be used to assemble my order." |

Just about a month ago at the Potbelly in Merhcandise Mart I had gotten my sandwich and was standing at the register whilst all the goofs ignored me. I had it in mind to just leave without paying, but I go in there pretty regularly. Finally one of the morons glances over and says, "Can I help you with something?" Yeah, asshole, I want to pay for this motherfucking sandwich. Is that okay with you? |
