He's been on The Score in the past, but I agree with you.

that was pretty creepy. This guy is supposed to be a journalist? sounded more like Lovie's PR agent.

Wait......you're blasting McClure when the "source" he was disagreeing with was TB? When McClure was talking about "The Score" in this instance, he was talking about Boers.

I get that TB is a talk show host, but as soon as a person wants to "break news" (and then their station subsequently reports in the updates the rest of the day as being "broken by our own Terry Boers") they cross the line back in to being a "reporter". But, like usual, "TB the reporter" got the news wrong.

Again, Terry Boers is the single worst, least valuable regular member of either station in town.

Disagree. Harry's not great at all, but I've actually heard him - on multiple occasions - complete a sentence. Shocking as that sounds.
I've heard him tell a story that actually relates to the topic at hand. That's not always easy for everyone.
I also believe Harry watches more than one sporting event per week. Yeah, it kinda is part of their job.

Yeah, it's ridiculous to think that a dude who ROUTINELY lies to everybody about EVERYTHING might have instructed his ink mouthpiece to spin a fucking yarn on news that is PERSONAL TO HIM?

. . . and, besides, again, you don't know JACK SHIT what the real deal is anyhow!

If I actually cared what a lunatic thought about this topic, I'd ask for a translator on this - because it makes absolutely no sense.

But I don't care.

 I thought you scurried to the bathroom to do that.

For the record, I'm not a drug user, but you can send your girl on over to my house for an impromptu piss test if you like. . . if you have a girl, of course.

BTW, we won't be needing a cup.

So you want Spankys girl to piss on you?

Bingo. Harry can actually do his job. Many people might not like the job he does but he can at least come to work and have a thought and complete a sentence and not have to lie about having "inside sources" and fall back on lame, non-news as "BREAKING NEWS."

I think Harry has the upper hand, here.

Boers is far from the least valuable person on either station. Him as a reporter is a joke, agreed there. But when he actually tries his thoughts are as competent as anyone on either station. He knows sports, especially baseball, pretty well. He just likely playing the apathetic curmudgeon caricature. I'll still take him over many hosts on either station. He makes me laugh more than Harry did and he has better sports thoughts than Harry did. It's not close.

Harry is better than Boers, but that is like saying that the Cubs were better than the Astros this year. They're both pretty fucking terrible.

Boers is one of the few guys in the media that understands the human character. Probably from his time hanging around race tracks, fast cars, NBA locker rooms, and wrestling rings.

So he has sports thoughts but prefers to play a stuttering, incompetent buffoon? Sorry, he's 10 times worse than Harry.

I don't think he comes off as an incompetent buffoon. He's just apathetic a lot of time. I admit that's a bad quality, but it's also an exaggerated quality with him. He's engaged and competent far more often than his detractors give him credit for. As I said, he's funnier and a better analyst than Harry is. That's really 90% of the job. And I'll take his stuttering over Harry's voice any day.

How engaged can he be when he is doing his show from home?

Just as much basically. But how often does he do that? Like I said, I think people exaggerate his apathy.

So, Boers has a "radio persona" and that persona for the last 10 years has been one of apathy, ignorance, mailing it in, rambling, the total lack of speaking skills and an inability to add anything to a show?

That Terry is quite the entertainment savant!

I didn't say that and don't agree with it. He's far from ignorant. Whenever he actually confronts Bernsie in an argument he wins almost every time.

Really? I disagree. He usually just takes a side and defends it by stammering and talking in circles whether he has a leg to stand on or not.

Oh well.

I only hear him stammering when going along with Bernsie because he doesn't really give a shit and that's palpable. When a topic sparks his fancy he's capable of making cogent, interesting points. I consider him more insightful than Bernsie. I just wish he'd try more instead of mailing it in as often as he does, which I'd say is about 50% of the time, depending on time of year.

I hesitate to do this, but I agree with FF. Those that decry Terry will wonder what happened to the show when he retires. Show doesn't work without him.

Another 'one-off' would be nice or possibly a few HFC shows a year. A good change of pace and the last time they got together they put on a good show.
