Agree on principle, but I don't think he started the rumour. U thought it was ESPN New York. |

What does he do for a living now ? The last I heard was he got kicked to the curb by the all powerful Current Network, which at first I thought was a fishing channel. |

The man obviously has a screw loose, as Dan Patrick hasn't really had much to do with him after KO left Football Night in America; and those two used to be pretty tight. I have no idea what he does for a living now. Probably sponges off of his girlfriend. |

Keith Olbermann was indeed fired by Current TV earlier this year, Blackcloud. Like so many of his other employers over the years, K.O. clashed with management over various issues. I think this was the issue that got Olbermann fired by Al Gore's political-heavy network... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/3 ... 92513.html Since Olbermann's dismissal from Current, he's been an MLB.com blogger. He's as big a baseball enthusiast as he was news, politics & constantly naming FOX News Channel's Bill O'Reilly "Worst Person in the World" on his old "Countdown" show he hosted on Current as well as MSNBC. |

Keith has forgotten more about baseball than most of us know about baseball. Again, its those kinds of people who frustrate the crap out of me. He is intelligent, he is well spoken, and had a job of a lifetime at ESPN. Instead, he couldn't get along with people there, got himself fired. Got fired from Fox sports. Got fired from MSNBC, and got fired by Al Gore. He doesn't have to cite that he's got mental problems, as those problems are pretty obvious in the inability to keep a job. |

Well, Olbermann should have thought about that, Frontman, when he joked that "the most God forsaken place in North America is Bristol, CT" during an appearance on Comedy Central's "Daily Show" with then host Craig Kilborn. His former ESPN bosses weren't laughing. |

SHARK, you should read Those Guys Have All The Fun if you haven't yet (though I'm sure you have). There's a great part about how Olbermann would go up to Rich Eisen every day and say "not yet." Monday, "not yet." Tuesday, "not yet." Finally, Eisen breaks down and asks "why do you keep saying 'not yet' to me?", and Olbermann goes "because you are not yet doing the Sportscenter you are capable of doing," then gives him this long letter detailing everything Eisen did wrong and how he could be great in the eyes of Keith Olbermann and America. What a douchebag, right? |

What channel was this (tv show?) on? 10P...Mumbai time? Which nights? ESPN, of course, Sunday-Wednesday(?)...10P (Central) |

I have no idea what he does for a living now. Probably sponges off of his girlfriend. I am a long-time KO guy. Countdown show started nine years ago. The show was great until his show went from topical and intelligent to "how do we build a studio big enough to hold his ego??". He was feeling it after '06 election cycle. Maybe I just didn't enjoy the sound of emotion in his voice or not caring for the switch from news/info to opinion segments and playing the message. There will always be fricton with Olbermann. Somewhere in between actual moral high ground and status quo. KO likes to play both sides. He got caught up in so much escalation of the message v. message TV wars. I began to wear when I kept saying every week, another segment talking about other news shows. Ugh. Now I only want to hear him talk about baseball. He seems like just another guy of the pinko commie talking heads. Maybe getting out of the studio for a bit and actually cover some news would be best. |
