denied

The radio station is one of two run by Ridgewood High School in Norridge, Illinois. Unlike the very limited & predictable playlist that WLIT-FM's "Holiday Lite" airs, the "Jack Frost" station will be playing an extremely wide variety of holiday music, not just the same few songs over & over again.

Nomination supported .... ye gods.

I don't care if they never repeat a bleeding song from here to Christmas, variety has nothing at all to do with the fact that this is just fucking ghastly .... it's no more Christmastime right now than it is Spring Training.

Nomination Approved. I hate Norridge because I was pulled over by a cop for having a headlight out. Had to go to court to show judge that I fixed the light. Miss half day of work for that garbage.

Supported. The holiday season stresses me out and I don't want to feel like it's close...though it is.

It's November 1. No one needs 2 solid months of Holly Jolly annoyance.

Your jib, I like the cut of it.

No KS-style euphemism intended.

Is that a station you normally listen to, either over the air or online?

It's only gay when you're the one giving, not receiving. At least that's what I was told.

Norridge shouldn't exist.

How did I get in the middle of this?

Isn't it the only burb that's completely surrounded by Chicago? Or is that Harwood Heights? Both of them can go, as far as I'm concerned.

They're next to each other, islands of practically amber-preserved 1950s suburban housing stock.

"Norridge" is a portmanteau of "Norwood Park" and "Park Ridge." How lame.

What kind of shitty high school radio station goes to an all Xmas format in November. Everybody should get an F for this. You're supposed to play bad rock music.

I wonder what happened with NEIU's student radio station being overtaken by the faculty in some sort of hostile coup. I'd follow up, but I found a hundred other totally unimportant things to worry about instead.

I still love Christmas as much as I did when I was a kid. I love everything about it...the decorations, music, food, fellowship, etc... I think I'll have this station cranked when Mrs. Scorehead gets home from work today.

I could find an old thread for WLIT, but evidently they start playing Christmas music today at 4pm.

Awful.

Denied. I cant get enough of Christmas, music, decorations, all of it. We got our decorations out of the garage attic last night and will spend the weekend decorating.

It's Lithium roasting on an open fire. Come as you are to the grunge Christmas alternative station. I'm Matt Pinfield.
