I don't understand why it is so hard for people to grasp the concept of this. I'm speaking specifically of reviewers of DVD and blu ray. 99.9 % of the people going to Amazon to see a review of a tv series or a movie have already seen it, they know they like it and are interested in buying it. The reviewers, instead of leaving a helpful review of the product, regarding the sound quality, the picture quality, or special features, will instead give some half assed review of the series or movie. WHO THE FUCK WANTS THIS?! Who goes to Amazon to buy a movie or show and hasn't already seen it first?!

Why would you be thinking the picture or audio quality is going to be terrible on an official Blu-ray or DVD? Amazon isn't Pirate Bay, I don't think there is a A/V = 10 option anywhere.

I wouldn't but a lot of people seem to bitch about it anyway.

Look, if I'm buying a TV show or movie from Amazon, I probably don't care about the reviews. But if I did, I'd want it to be about the show or movie...maybe it is something not on Netflix but I've been recommended it by a buddy...I might want to see some additional opinions before I purchase it. I definitely wouldn't go in thinking "oh, the audio of Nip/Tuck might only be a 7...egads"

So you're a person who buys something... before they've even seen it? I find that puzzling and I think you're in the minority. The picture and audio quality are one thing but I think at least the features of the DVD or blu ray itself should be discussed before actually discussing the program or movie itself.
