I guess it is the new wave? Did we really need wall to wall CBS sports radio all morning before they go to playoff games? Say goodbye to local shows outside of the main broadcast schedule. |

Connor McDoink has been on since 9. What are you talking about? |

My stream player is CBS national. Unless due to cache or something it went to national instead of SCR as I was listening to that last night? Arrrggghhh. |

CBS sports radio is doing what comcast did when they declared their forthcoming presence in the chicago market: SHOVING IT DOWN YOUR FUCKING THROAT. I developed a language back then called "comcastian" where you communicate via emphatic inflections of saying only the word "comcast." Try it sometime... see if you can make a communication to a sentient being only using the word "comcast." It's fun. They've got updates every 20min I think, so that means at 00/20/40 you're getting the little jingle into CBS SPORTS RAAAAAADIOOOOOOOOO then a second of dead air and then THE SAME FUCKING JINGLE W/CBS SPORTS RAAAAAADDDIIIOOOOO and then the host comes on and says I'M NICK THE DICK ON CBS SPORTS RADIO badadadadada and as i was listening to adam the bull from cleveland last night, or whatever it was, I was getting bombed with perpetual references to the fact that, indeed, I'M LISTENING TO CBS SPORTS RADIO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There's branding and there's overkill. This is definitely the former... I know they're like ~4-5 days old, but still, let your product do the branding, not the other way around! |

You also have to remember with CBS Radio that the Score streaming CBS Sports Radio in lieu of itself is just as likely to be an IT fuckup as it is a conscious programming decision. I mean, no way they'd let the Bears Coaching Search Talk Presented By Buffalo Wild Wings: Wings, Beer, Sports go unheard by out-of-market listeners. |

When I punched up the stream to see if it was national (it was), the player said it was a Beanie Sigel song. I'm going to stick with my initial hypothesis of "The Score Chimp also runs IT for CBS Radio." |

It was doing that last week, too. I quit listening. And, since I only listen via the stream, I'll be done with The Score and will no longer be available to let Dan Bernstein anger me. Krazy Ivan wins. |
