Was this a good idea? Take a public league school and highlight it on the largest local paper? I get the school somehow ends up with Top Talent each year, and that could possibly create a story. But this seems a bit much for high school players. In the last 3 days, here are your headlines Simeon. - Three players ruled ineligible. - Players get in pushing match in handshake line with Morgan Park. This in turn leads to mayhem in the stands and a Morgan Park student is shot and killed. But Simeon did win, so they got that going for them. Is Robert Smith and this team really worth the extra spotlight? |

I really don't like the trend of high school students regularly transferring out of their schools in order to find a percieved better basketball program. |

But maybe that means they can finally move to a better neighborhood rather than living near the dealers on Chicago and Division. |
