Remember, ZERO correlation between D Rose and Peterson.

Yet, all these fools keep writing articles about how Peterson comments on D Rose? Everyone must know nothing!

Why aren't they asking Terrell Suggs, Rex Grossman or anyone else with an ACL/MCL?

At this point in his rehab Adrian Peterson had already rushed for a thousand yards. The only possible answer is that Rose is not tough enough to play. No wonder that no free agents want to sign with the Bulls they can see how tough their supposed "leader" is.

Isn't he supposed to me a man stud that opens his mail and drinks coffee? What happened? I need Bernsie to ask the tough questions.

Phil, what Adrian Peterson did last season for the Vikings was amazing. As for the Bulls not being able to sign free agents in the wake of the Derrick Rose saga, that's not accurate.

The Bulls have swung & missed trying to land premium free agents ever since Michael Jeffrey Jordan retired, Phil Jackson stepped down as head coach and the "two Jerrys" in Krause & Reinsdorf broke up the 6 NBA Title teams in 1998.

Absolutely. Good thing he's off the streets or he'd be capped for being a bitch.

And yet walking has been problematic for both of those Chicago tough-guys for decades now.

"Chicago-tough", what a joke. Almost as (generally) ridiculous as "knowledgeable Chicago sports fans".

I tell ya Norm Van Lier would have been back on the court in 2 weeks tops. This Derrick Rose kid is just milking the injury for attention and Addidas commercials.

Moment of silence please for Norm Van Lier. Thank you. Van Lier wouldn't be too happy at what this soap opera has turned into if he were still with us today.

Well, Elmhurst Steve was just on Carmen & Jurko saying that Rose should either play or stop collecting checks. Reason being that when you are off work getting disability, once you are medically cleared you either go back to work or stop getting checks.

El, Oh, El.

Its no secret than Derrick Rose isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, & isn't a Rhodes scholar. Whether he has made his decision to not play on his own, or whether he is listening to his dumb ass Brother, Derrick is entering dangerous territory that could seriously damage his image & reputation.
The Doctors have cleared you to play. Get your ass back on the court.

Everyone needs to kill the Adrian Peterson comparison already. He is an extreme exception to the rule when it comes to acl recovery. I dont think any athlete has ever come back as fast or as strong from sn acl tear.

Rubio and Shumpert are back but both are below the rim players who combined still arent on the athletic level Rose is at. He is one of the fastest and most explosive players in the league. He wants to wait till he feels hes back at that level. Physically he's probably there but it does take a lot of mental toughness to fully trust and have confidence that the knee is fine.

I tore my knee some years ago and when i was finally able to play again i had absolutely no confidence and to the point that i started jumping with the opposite leg. Now im nowhere near an elite athlete but i can imagine what a player at Rose's level could be thinking

I understand that you're referencing an ongoing Bernstein meme, but what the hell does it mean in the context of this particular story? Just seems very misplaced.

Are you saying that Bernstein is a hypocrite because big black studs aren't supposed to hurt their knees? I'm just trying to figure out your angle, and it's likely you're just doing it wrong.

Post subject:  Re: Derrick Rose

Yeah probably doing it wrong. Just seemed to me that Bernsie's studs wouldn't be doing this as they are real men.

Post subject:  Re: Derrick Rose

Oh, okay. Yeah, your reference doesn't really apply here. That's why I was confused.

The, "big black studs" thing never had anything to do with guys supposedly being "real men." It's the notion that according to Bernstein, black basketball players are physically superior on the court to white ones.

Sounds like an argument for why Rose should get back on the court.

While I assume you are being sarcastic, this method has proven to be effective with those who depend upon a positive public image in marketing their brand. My guess is going public wasn't The Bulls first choice.

He also talked about how NBA players act like adults in the locker room. It led to the coffee and mail thing.

Yeah, still unrelated to the Derrick Rose knee thing though. It's a stretch at best.
