Daylight Savings Time is really the best time of year. I think everyone who disagrees should move to Arizona. |

Someone once described DST to me like this: "It's like cutting two feet off one end of a 10 foot rope, sewing it onto the other end, and telling me it's longer than 10 feet" |

Or the utilities' tree trimming trucks out buzzing off branches at 6am? |

Darkside wrote: Someone once described DST to me like this: "It's like cutting two feet off one end of a 10 foot rope, sewing it onto the other end, and telling me it's longer than 10 feet" Yes. It's stupid. And haven't studies shown that MORE electricity is used during the DST period? Stupid. |

Mini Ditka has it right on this one. Daylight savings is a good idea and the detractors are foolish. |

DST occuurs during the summer time where people are blasting the AC for 3 straight months. Of course more electricity is going to be used during that time. |

Well, I assume the people that do those studies take that into account, but I don't really know, nor do I care. All I know is, the time change is really silly. Sometimes it's light, sometimes it's dark. Deal with it. |

If you have kids and they play sports outside on fields that are not lighted, then they benefit from daylight savings time as well as the people who have to work outside and those who make deliveries later in the evening. |

I don't think they need to be out playing on a field @ 8pm. That's the drug dealers time to be out there. |

Well then just stay in DST all year. Or better yet, let's shift the calendar! Imagine, summer weather in January and February! Cool story bro! I could have a BBQ on Ground Hog Day every year! 90 degrees on Christmas! |

Just leave the clocks alone now...I'm cool with never setting them back, only to do it all again next year. |
