Since Hammel still has that chance and like Arrieta, has an ERA under 1.00, I think their chances are pretty good.

Lackey has potential to not be very good this year.

At 36 last year he had many career highs.

This year in ST he sucked.

His first outing in reg season he sucked

Second and third, VERY good. Very imoressive V Cards in a big game and thats what I want.

4th sucked.

At 37, I ant him taking some time off. Skip a start, go fishing, let Adam Warren go a couple of starts.

Want some DEAD ARM time on the bench for him.

I do think the guy is a big game pitcher and want him for that, but need to get there first and in one piece, the guy needs some time off.

Hammel has left the game tonight leading the Pirates 6-2 in the 6th. So if Warren and whomever might follow him can hold the lead, they will still have 2 pitchers go AT LEAST 4-0 to start the season.
