http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... M2j3uAFMxU Sam Rosen is not only OUR GUY as Bears fans, and a funny joke on B&B, but a legendary NHL broadcaster. You don't treat Sam Rosen like that, bub. I think Al Trautwig got some shit there, too. I'm so sick of this guy. He's been riding on that '04 season where he had Lecavalier/Richards/St. Louis able to break up the traps every team was running back then, and he's done shit else since then. In fact, he's 180ed into one of the worst offenders of non-offense today, with everyone just sitting back and blocking shots for Lundqvist. Overrated coach, and his obvious efforts to be Hockey Ozzie by starting shit in public to mobilize the troops in private are just so contrived, so half-assed, so fake. And much like Ozzie, he too is living on something he did seven years ago. |

Stan Van Gundy is at least somewhat affable. He seemed perpetually put upon, if anything. Torts has Brad Richards, Rick Nash, and Marian Gaborik on his team, they're all making a fortune, and they don't fucking do anything. "Safe is death," my ass. |

It was Diet Pepsi and it starred in the press conference as much as Howard or Van Gundy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y08gvGpGCwA 2:50 mark. He sees Dwight and takes a double swig. Also, they hold up Mics for Howard and they cover Stan Van's face |

Jets crowd chanted Tortarella's name last night during the 3rd period Unsurprisingly he was an ass when asked in the post game. |

Kirkwood wrote: Jets crowd chanted Tortarella's name last night during the 3rd period Unsurprisingly he was an ass when asked in the post game. If every crowd were as great at heckling as Winnipeg's, this league would be so much better. Blackhawks crowds...kinda...suck? |

Tough comparison. Winnipeg right now is the gold standard. The intimacy of 15K still in a honeymoon with the Jets provides for a nuts atmosphere. Of the big market teams where "to be seen" people have priced hockey fans out of the arena the Hawks are fine. Toronto is way worse. |

Post subject: | Re: John Tortorella |
Oh, undoubtedly. The Leafs fans are livelier in Ottawa -- and not always when the Leafs are in town. Ruh roh. I just feel like one of the only things holding the Chicago-Vancouver rivalry back is that our crowds aren't always as engaged with it as they should be. Those crowds should be bursting at the seams with derision, but there's something missing. People used to be clever enough to do the "LUUUU" chant after Luongo followed a bunch of goals with a routine save, but that hasn't happened lately. I really feel like a lot of people who go to Blackhawks games don't know where Vancouver even is, and that hurts the rivalry, locally speaking. |
