click the two worst topics of sports discussion are someone else's fantasy team and someone else's golf game. The reason they even start is because everyone loves to talk about their own teams and game. |

Moment of silence please for Phil Kosin. Thank you. For the record, ShermanReport.com's Ed Sherman & The SCORE's own Steve Olken co-host "The Scorecard" Saturday mornings 6-8A for the next several months. I can handle a few minutes of golf talk, such as CBS Sports/Golf Channel's David Feherty on "The Dan Patrick Show" talking about the Masters and the Trib's Teddy Greenstein on the SCORE's "Mac & Spiegs Show" talking about The Masters today, but golf play-by-play? That's really tough. |

This weekend in Augusta is better than probably about 80% of NBA regular season games. |

It can't possibly be. They're playing golf. |

They're dribbling for 2 seconds then shoot free throws. |

You could have dropped the "on sports radio" part. |

If the stars come out,I might watch some Masters golf. I just don't like it when some generic hillbilly kid that nobody knows anything about catapults to the top of the board. |

Go on Google Maps and look at everything around Augusta National. It's across the street from a fucking Arby's. Truly this is God's country. |

I'm more worried about the TV coverage. You just know Nantz is already lathered up. Seeing Spike Albrecht and Mitch McGary balling out on Monday night was literally a wet dream for him. |

I am saying that Jim Nantz has had actual, legit, honest-to-goodness nocturnal emissions while dreaming about a national championship game in which Spike Albrecht and Mitch McGary are the best players on the floor for any period of time. |

Keeping Score wrote: I'm also wondering about golf in person as a spectator experience. Do most people just stay at one hole and watch everybody as they come through? Or do most people follow a particular golfer from hole to hole? Is it cool, or does it kind of suck? Like if it was baseball, it would be like you watching the right fielder, and only the right fielder, the entire time. No? I enjoy going, but I only like going for the practice rounds. Golf is very tough to follow in live action and you can't catch all of the shots. Usually you try and find a couple of holes on each side. Now, if you are fortunate to get in one of the Villas with all of the cocktails that is outstanding, free cocktails, tvs everywhere around a lot of drunk golf fans. Also, usually a lot of hot women around also. |

Things to like about the South are few and far between. Barbecue and the blues are about it, and those are Memphis touchstones. What are the Carolinas but tobacco and McMansions for relocated Yankees? |

No. Most Sox fans are pretty meatheadish and want to throw in the towel way too fast. Like after a 3 game losing streak during the second week April. |

In fairness that also includes the overwhelming majority of the fly-over country as well. (I mean really, what is there to LIKE about non-Chicagoland Illinois?) I just don't appreciate/like country life. Remember, the overwhelming parts of rural America wasn't exactly safe/welcoming for people like me up through my formative years. I have a healthy dose of concern/skepticism remaining. I just don't find much of the south particularly interesting. Even the "cities" like Atlanta . With exceptions for College sports/BBQ/Cajun/Creole food, sweet tea, Coca Cola & The Waffle House. |
