C'mon. It was awful weather all April, on a GOOD night you're drawing 18-20K, and you won't even let ticket holders from cold weather called off game use their ticket for a future game? Oh wait, but if you had a ticket to this other rained out game you CAN use it for a future game? Doesn't make any fucking sense. Hell even if they came out and said any weekday game based on availability at least it would give people some options. From the Sox Facebook page; Quote: Information about cancelled games I don't have tickets for either, but its still shitty. Awful customer service.
If you are holding tickets from the 4/19 game, those tickets will be good for the rescheduled game on 8/9 (Friday) at 1:10pm. They are not redeemable for another game. If you are holding tickets from the 4/23 game (rained out), those tickets can be used in exchange for any future regular season game on a ticket-for-ticket basis. |

So they're willing to forego any additional revenue the 4/19 people would have spent on another game. What % of those people are actually attending the 8/9 game? 40%? 30%? |

Its just flat out stupid. I could see if they were drawing 30K+ per game, but most games there isn't even half that there.. Also, you can bet the farm that 8/9 will be a split doubleheader. If they are allowing the ticket holders from the 4-19 game to attend both games of the doubleheader, at least that is something. Still stupid though. |

Still stupid though. exactly. the point is that the game was rescheduled, or canceled, and that isn't on you the ticket holder. that ticket should be redeemable whenever you can use it again. you still paid for a ticket. if you can't get a refund for it, it should be usable for another time--not dictated by the white sox. agree that this is more magnified because they can't draw, so why would you want to do anything to draw people *away*? |

It makes sense because the rain-out make-up game may never be played. That is why they encourage fans to go to any game tickets are available. |

Its White Sox games we are talking about....there are always tickets available for a bad team out of contention in a lousy neighborhood with fair-weather fans. |
