Yesterday UMN was bitching about Joe West and his bad calls, and I said that him and CB Bucknor were the worst umpires in the game. I forgot about Asshat Hernandez. Take a look at this from the A's @ Indians game last nite; http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index.js ... y_26957341 In real time its tough to tell, but on replays its pretty clear that this ball hits a railing a good 18-24" above the yellow line. Homerun, right? Nope. Hernandez, the crew chief, said not enough to overturn the call on the field. Awful |

Wasn't this jackass part of Joe West's crew years ago? If he had the same video that you just linked then he should be suspended because that is about as obvious a home run as you are going to get. He was probably insulted that the A's manager came out to question the judgement of his crew and thus decided to exercise his power. |

I was just about to say that CSFMB members aren't eligible, but you're referring to the ump. |

Yea, I saw this. How the fuck does anyone see that replay and not rule it a home run? Maybe they have some sort of agenda against Melvin and the A's. |

With replay, that call needs to be right 100% of the time. The league needs to discipline him significantly. |

The Royals may surprise though and give the tribe a run for 2nd, while the Sox drop to 4th. By the time the trade deadline approaches, the Sox should be hopelessly behind and looking to trade off any players that could bring back a decent prospect and allow them to dump some salaries. God knows they are not gonna be drawing many fans . |

It still looks like a dumb prediction and it is odd that you would want to bring it up as they sit in third place even after winning 9 of 10. |

I've seen the replays of the homer that wasn't. The A's Adam Rosales clearly touched them all. That was terrible! |

Actually, he didn't SHARK. He hit the ball out of the park, but only touched 1st and 2nd base. Kid Cairo knows what its like to be stuck at 2nd base... |

I thought the ball hit that yellow line. I know Progressive Field has that huge Fenway Park-like wall in left and center field, but I thought if a ball hits the yellow line at the top of the wall, it's a home run...Right? |

It hit that pole or railing (whatever it was) about a foot or two above the yellow line. That should've been a home run! |

It's all good with KS. Besides, it's my understanding that if all caps are used, it's a sure sign of anger. |
