Is there anything more pathetic than advertising soccer during a hockey broadcast?

But it's the Premier League!

About as bad as NBC pimping the Tour De Whogivesafuck.

Yes, pimping the Tour de France is worse.

this years tour promises to be a wide-open affair. with 2012 champ Bradley Wiggins out due to injury, there is a number of solid riders who could contend, including young american hopeful Tejay van Garderen. This years tour will visit the famed peak Alp d'Huez, which the riders will actually climb twice in a single stage.

Look forward to sharing the action with you all again this year!

Give them props for one thing: they cut to their commercials just before Carcillo was handed the Cup.

man don't hate on NBCSN for pimping the newly acquired EPL..... they're gutting the programming of fox soccer and to a much much much lesser extent ESPN2 and i, for one, hope that they'll load up saturday/sunday mornings with all of the games cuz it's not like they've got anything going on. the EPL is great on saturday mornings when they've got a ~6:45am matinee leading into the 9am games and you can get two proper romps in before football/baseball start.

the only thing i'll miss is ian darke and macca on the calls. i grew into enjoying their perpetual presence @ my saturday morning breakfast table.... i have no idea who NBCSN is gonna get (and likely not one of the big 4) but i can sleep easy knowing that gus johnson is signed to fox. dodged a bullet there!

also, here's to hoping that arsenal gets higurain!

Oh, shit! Now I done stirred up the hornet's nest of less but even more passionate fans than those who watch hockey.

Do you think they will advertise crickett during the soccer?

Now that the NHL is done for the season, the Tour de France is NBC Sports' next BIG event? No wonder few people watch NBCSN!

I believe they have Formula One and IndyCar which are ongoing fairly big events, no?

Of course you have to be at up 3 in the morning to catch F1 LIVE.

True, but I thought ESPN/ABC also had the IRL, a.k.a. IndyCar, too.

No idea, I made most of that up. Except the Formula 1 part. :P

Yeah, NBC & NBCSN have shoved those Formula 1, English Premier League Soccer & the Tour de France promos down our throat lately.
