This morning during Sportscenter, Buster Olney, Curt Schilling, Kevin Millar... to put it bluntly, it seemed to be a line of people out the door to take a stab at Braun. Yet, wasn't Shilling defending Braun when he was originally accused, only to be exonerated based on improper handling of the sample? ESPN is no different than Italy in a war. Once popular sentiment has been reached, they go with it. As long as home runs driven by PEDs are selling tickets, you blast people with Bonds at-bats. Once the sentiment changes, you make sure to distance yourself. Would love if they stopped being an entertainment network and had some damned journalistic integrity. Maybe they should have come down a lot harder on Braun when he was accused the first time? Everyone knew it was bullshit. Everyone but... ESPN. |

There is no way they devoted that much time to anything that doesn't involve the nba. You must have had the ocho on. |

Its really interesting to see how their segments have changed drastically in the past few years. After the home run derby, they had a video montage celebrating the history and allure of the home run. Not one shot of Bonds, McGwire, A-Rod, Sosa... |
