Another "kid" stakes out a house at 2am, climbs a locked fucking gate, approaches the household of a guy with a pregnant wife and young daughter, gets his ass FUCKING CAPPED, and now, due to fucking propagandistic politics stemming from the Zimmerman thing, he is being charged with 2nd Degree attempted Murder.

They want to cut our nuts off as a nation. They are telling us that the criminals are in the right, and that we are in the wrong.

Tell you what: Like one commenter said: might be time to load one non-lethal round into the chamber as a first shot. That might work to protect the REAL victims in these crimes: law-abiding citizens.

You're ignoring my larger point by nitpicking on a single observation. The statistics you cite do not do anything to refute that the pattern I allude to exists. Why are some exasperated Chicagoans calling for the National Guard to come save them? If there aren't MORE murders, then the outrage from them is significantly higher, and that is not measured on that table.

If those statistics can be relied upon to prove anything, Stairs, it is that Perception is obviously stronger then reality. Something that it is only further evidenced by the published accounts of a large number of people who wanted to act violently in response to news propaganda following the Zimmerman case.

You should only be allowed to use deadly force to protect yourself. If you are safely locked in your home with a firearm and you see someone stealing your car just call the cops. Your life isnt in any danger if someone is in your driveway. You have a better chance of putting your life in danger by confronting them.

Fair points. I'm only 24 so I don't have a family to take care of. And I grew up in Arlington Heights. So I've never been put in a situation like this. I just can't get over the guy killing a teenager over breaking into his car. Seems extreme.

I'm guessing no one read the link I posted. This exact same case happened four years ago. Except it was in New York. Guy was found not guilty.
