You don't build around aging pitchers with a history of injuries.

You trade them for prospects and get declared a genius.

Putz.

Come on now. We're talking Jake Fucking Peavy, former Cy Young pitching master. You must get a king's ransom in return plus get 100% salary relief.

Rick Hahn knows rhetoric and is playing this game like the eruditious executive that he is.

We're not talking Kenny Williams here. We're talking Rick Hahn!

Speeps you just said that you want them to lose every game...so what's the problem?

i dont think rick hahn is getting enough crap for how awful the minor league system is.... was draft 100% on kenny? Im sure he had final say on the first round picks... but shouldnt your scouts and asst. gm be able to hit on at least a couple later round picks?? where the GM probably is not as involved and relies on his asst.?

Could you imagine the blowjobs Theo/Jed would be getting if they traded a relief pitcher on the DL for something positive?

Having Peavy start every 5th day increases the chances of winning.

Plus The Plan™ is to get young bodies.

Mark Gonzales ‏@MDGonzales 1m Hahn said Sox aren't under any pressure to make a deal involving any player under contract for next season, no marching orders from JR or KW

So Kenny is pulling Hahn's strings and Hahn took the job on that basis!

Kenny was promoted.

It's not really surprising that he has a say in what goes on.

Or it sounds like Hahn is saying there aren't any restrictions from Kenny or Jerry on what he can do.

When kenny became GM, there was an official exec committee that Jerry used to help or override kenny. I would assume Hahn is under the same rules. The difference is that Hahn has been training to be the GM for years as Kenny was just the 2nd choice, because Jerry didnt like the other guy.

Even with that committee Kenny was able to use his superior abilities as GM and win a World Series.

How about that?

Yup, someone had to have the business card to return the voice mails.

Kenny didnt want Ozzie as manager, Jerry made him take him and they dont a WS without Ozzie as manager

Kenny has that fat WS ring on his finger.

Even your sad attempt at revisionist history can't change that.

Yeah, who else could have sat back and not made a single move as his pitchers were throwing complete games.

That was all Kenny, he is known for his Latin themed parties

You're just not going to have a contending team with seven or eight homegrown studs. If that's what Cub fans think Epstein is doing, they're crazy.
