All of them need to stop. National or local news, or a stupid talk TV coffee clatch talk show. Who cares what Carrie Nobody thinks about Ina's in the West Loop closing up shop? Seriously. This activity adds zero value to the broadcast. Some idiot(s) have convinced the network wonks this is a good idea and it is epic fail. I can see how it can be good in radio sports talk (Paging Peoria Matt) as the medium allows for the hosts and team to locate something relevant or funny. It fails MISERABLY on TV. Stop waisting precious seconds on the incredibly stupid and report on something newsworthy.

I've seen Anita Padilla do reports where she holds her phone up to the camera and scrolls through comments on a Facebook page.

The morning news on Ch. 32 added a Twitter crawl to the bottom on the screen. The comments frequently range from inane to stupid. It doesn't add anything to the broadcast. If I wanted to see what was on Twitter, I would go there. I guess they think they can increase viewership if people posting on Twitter tune in to see if their tweet made it on the air?

On a different note, how much fatter can Sondra Solarte's face get before it explodes? I think her dimples have become outies.

I'm madly attracted to Anita Padilla. No joke or sarcasm there.

While Anita Padilla is a little big for my tastes, I agree, OKC, that there is something about her. Sondra would be VERY cute if she lost weight, but at this point it would have to be a lot of weight.

I think Nancy Loo is sexy, especially with the glasses. I'd like to take she and Erin McElroy and make a Tad sandwich.

I agree on both Nancy and Erin. Especially Erin. I like Dawn Hasbrouck a lot too, but she seems kinda stuck up. I could be very wrong about that though.

My absolute favorite is Jessica D'Onofrio on ABC 7. Just gorgeous.
