If you are spending money to have these guys give wall to wall coverage get them phones that don't sound like they are calling from a submarine in the Pacific. Biggs, Brown, DiNardo, etc. are all several decibels below the in studio people so you have to turn your audio up and down just to hear a response to a question. |

Ken Rosenthal on B&B is the worst. He has a brutal phone and he also doesn't seem to take the time to find a quiet place. It's obnoxious. |

I've always thought this to be the way WSCR engineers their sound. One host (particularly when the other is on ISDN) sounds louder (hotter?) that the other. Guests come in with a lesser sound, and callers even less. Ever note when a caller is getting the edge on a host that their sound will be lessened, sometimes forcing them to shout? The first 30 minutes of M&H and M&S are hard to hear in the car with the windows down, or in the office cubicle. Both have hosts who yell. |
