The Golf Channel analyst and Golf.com contributor has been highly critical of Tiger Woods for years. Earlier in the week he gave Woods an "F" in his hypothetical Year End Report Card, kind of some what sort of calling Tiger a "cheat".

On the golf course, that is. Stay focused kids.

Back in the day when Tiger had the worst Thanksgiving dinner of his life, me and my guys had drinks the next night and the question was raised about it not effecting his play.

I an one other guy said it would, other 2 said it wouldn't.

so, the bet was on.

My team said if Tiger wins a major int he next year, we owed a dinner at any place they named next T day! (really friday night after T day, or sat)

Of course if Tiger didnt win, we continue to get free dinners until he wins and at that time, we will then pay for said dinner.

I think this will be year 5 of free meals. One rule installed after Year 1 was cant go the same place twice. I think they didnt want to keep coming back to Joes!

Accusing a golfer of cheating is basically the worst thing you can do. Chamblee decided to slyly do it on television.

You can take me off ignore anytime. :D

I am glad to see somebody say this, that last rules infringement was bad. It was very clear that ball moved and for Tiger to say it was not did not set well with a lot of people in the golf world.

Non story. Tiger did cheat. Pretty sure the actual act is worse than somebody pointing it out.

Well yeah, multiple times, but I'm not even sure that's the debate here.

The Tiger slurpers are all upset because somebody dared to bring it up at the end of the year. This is just one opinion of some talking head from golf.com, is it really a big deal?

It's like if one of the 11 people that host the MNF pregame show shouting "Come on, man!" because some football player tried to cheat and there was video proof of them doing so. It's no different.

How does one cheat at golf?

What did he do? Just one example would be sufficient.
Thanks.

(I was not aware of this... )

There was this big drama at the Masters (most agreed there should have been a DQ - instead he got a slap on the wrist that nobody ever gets after the fact) - http://www.sbnation.com/golf/2013/4/13/ ... legal-drop

And then, it is against the rules to move your ball - but of course, his ball didn't move, even though everyone can see it move, it just "oscillated"  and because golf is such a game of "honor" Tiger just accepted the penalty graciously..../sarcasm - http://www.golf.com/ap-news/woods-given ... ampionship

What does "cheating" mean? Not playing by the rules, no?

This new easy going, non-confrontational Darkside is...............hard to argue with.

EVIL Jack must have been therapeutic.

Nomination denied. Tiger did cheat this past season. At least twice.

As spany correctly points out, probably anybody else would have been DQ'd from the Masters.

The Masters one doesn't even bother me that much as I can see how that could happen, the latest one seems pretty blatant.

I agree, but I still think 98% of golfers would have been DQ'd for it.

He wasn't DQ'd, because there was a rule change. Tiger didn't get preferential treatment.

Sounds like someone's angling for a new Nike driver to go along with those irons.

Yeah because the golf channel told him to, wished he would have stuck to his guns, but I understand why he wouldn't.

Well, his lawyer probably told him to since Tiger's camp threatened legal action. Of course, Chamblee explicitly tweeted "nobody told me to apologize", which just adds to his nomination in this thread.

What kind of legal action could be taken?
