Yeah no one ever admitted it. For years though he was a radio part timer and just happened to get into heavy fuel crew show at about the same time every week. Luck? I had heard that in sports radio infancy there would be paid / regular callers to create interest and keep the meters moving.

He's notable for his bad baseball thoughts.

The old CKG was a really mismanaged property by the end. Was never sure if it wanted to be the glory-days Loop or the classic rock Loop, but it always seemed to be kind of a junk drawer. The Free FM disaster pretty much killed it for good. By all accounts, Stan Lawrence did a good show, though; it just didn't get any promotion or anything.

He did that show with Seka, didn't he? And he was on with Terry Armour. So, do you think he's Stand in Bellwood? And is Eduardo still around these days?

I read somewhere (maybe here) that it wasn't Stan from the Dahl/"Meyers" days.

That's funny, I thought the consensus here was that it was Stan Lawrence.

Didn't he have a show on WLUP (I Think) with another guy who wrote a column for the trib? His partner died suddenly from a heart attack. I think he was a buddy of Dahl's,too. This might be about 10-15 years ago.

Bernsies little pageant of ass licking is quite annoying when he features them during a show.

Schmutzie said this
Quad city Pat said this
Scott from D port then gave us the %'s
Maddux Boy is on hold
Stan would like to call in and comment

It just got old, really old. Would like to come back, gonna need a reason!

Should I be concerned about this?

You mentioned it on your show. You probably forgot.

Pretty sure it was him as well.

ATT Guy, ran ISDN lines, thus got to buddies with dahl and finally someone said "Ya know Stan, your calls are intriguing and really long, let me try you on the air"

Stan from Bellwood is not Stan Lawrence. http://chicagoradiospotlight.blogspot.com is an interesting site, as the Stan not from Bellwood gives an interview. Interesting who has been interviewed vis-a-vis WSCR.

OK,so who was the guy who had the show with Terry Armour??

I'm pretty sure I heard Bernstein say once that it wasn't Stan from Dahl's show.

The guy with Armour absolutely is Stan from Dahl's show. And I'm still not convinced that Stan from Bellwood isn't the same guy either. NCM, do you just know the guy(s) and know they aren't the same? Because he doesn't say "I'm not Stan from Bellwood" in the interview you posted.

That part in bold is correct.

Doubt me at your own risk. Would you care to wager btw?
