Keep them. What a waste. If you want to send me a basket full of boxes of Cheese Straws and Biscuit Cookies, feel free, I love that stuff.

But, you can keep those stupid cards with electronic signatures and will be shredded on January 2nd. No purpose.

I'm not going to make a special trip into the office just to shred worthless XMas cards.

So why not just put it in the trash on the day you get it?

I hand sign my cards, but they are accompanied with a box of cookies or chocolate. I spent a small fortune on corporate X-Mas gifts this year.

Just autograph the box of cookies and save some money because that card is hitting the garbage can amidst a storm of cookie crumbs being shoveled in my foodhole.

I love corporate Christmas cards. I tape all of them on the wall next to my administrative assistant's cubicle. I think they make the place look nice. In short, FU Ken.

How is that Kirkland's? It's basically the same price point as Tito's, isn't it?

I always pull the trigger on Tito's in that decision.

It's less expensive. We use it for Limoncello.

Almost bought a bottle of Kirkland's Bourbon today. Then I saw my self face down and came to my senses.

Frangos are $12.99 at Macy's today.

The 1.75L bottle of Kirkland Vodka is $22.99. Tastes like Grey Goose for less than half the price. You gotta try it. Its great.

Speaking of Vodka, Trader Joes is selling Cupcake unflavored Vodka for $5.99 a bottle. That's right. $5.99. This isn't a low end shitty Vodka, It's good stuff.

Trader Joe's was selling some Italian wine for $1.99. For that price, you're probably just buying strawberry-grape juice.

We bought some cheap wine at Trader Joe's once.

Post subject:  Re: Corporate XMas Cards

This is a true story about my first year in the work force and corporate Christmas cards. I'm not sure, but I think Tad Queasy was working at the same company I was at around that time so he can confirm... would have been 1999 I believe. Anyhow, I worked there as a seasonal worker (office type job, did filing and typing) while I was in college, and I graduated with an IT degree... took a position in IT, and so my career was maybe five months old at that point. I took some time off at Christmas (what limited time I had) and when I got back there was an email requesting all those that didn't get their Christmas card to come down to so and so's office to pick them up. I'm thinking to myself that this really isn't worth the time; I'm sure it is nice to get a Christmas card, but whatever. Next Christmas season comes and there's no Christmas cards. As a company, they were really growing and probably increased about 50% over that period. A lot of the workers who had been there for a few years kept complaining how they stopped the Christmas cards and how they were sad that tradition had ended. At some point, I must have broached the subject with someone who was there... how is it this important to get a Christmas card from the CEO/VPs? I mean, it is nice they care enough to reach out to you, but really, are people saving these cards? Is this a cult? It was then that I found out the Christmas card wasn't even signed by the CEO or any of the upper executives, but they had included a crisp $100 bill tucked inside.
