This isn't a typical Douchebag of the Week. It's a career achievement award. Sitting in the Cubs dugout loaded while his team went 0-3 against shittier teams two years in a row. Managing to lose with a team that had 116 regular season wins. This fucker regularly had a minimum of three Hall of Famers on his Seattle teams and he never won shit. Hot-dogging his way out to first in the 2000 play-offs. This guy is a straight up career jerk-off. I've hated him ever since he won the Rookie of the Year that should have gone to Carlos May. |

Okay, sini, check out the 1969 ROY voting and stats and tell me HOW THE FUCK PINIELLA WON THAT SHIT. It was a criminal act and someone should be in prison for it. |

There are still guys talking about that bush league play where he waltzed out to first like he was managing Little League as if it was some great thing. As if it had the slightest thing to do with one of his Hall of Famers cracking a home run a few pitches later. I'll Douchebag this motherfucker this week and every week. |

Yankee Bias is what it is Can you imagine LaRussa and Pinella as all star players in the same town growing up? That's a ton of ego |

Those Reds had strong pitching and a lockdown bullpen. He still had two Hall of Famers in Seattle and Garcia at his best. I just hate the guy. He's full of shit. He was a good ballplayer, I'll give him that. The kind of guy you hate playing against. |

The guy is a fraud and while he can pile up stats against bad teams in july games, his record in big games is so bad! I am not just talking poor performances, I am talking complete breakdowns! Like 7 Walks, 5 HR kinda stuff in the first few innings! |

I will never forget Lou Piniella's greatness in right field at Fenway Park in the playoff game to determine the 1978 American League East winner. The Bucky Dent game. Specifically, his play in the bottom of the 9th on the Jerry Remy sinking liner, when he lost the ball in the sun but managed to block it on one hop. At the time, Rick Burleson was on 1st base, and Lou Piniella's quick thinking prevented him from advancing to 3rd base. This was significant because Burleson surely would have scored from 3rd on Jim Rice's subsequent fly out to Lou Piniella. As we all know, the washed up Carl Yastrzemski then popped out to end the game. |
