The concept is a wonderful man comes to the door for a female to sweep her off her feet for a New years Eve Date? So why is this being played for a almost all male listening audience? |

Is this a legitimate dating service? I always assumed it was an escort service/front for prostitution. |

Theyre pitching men. If I'm not mistaken, women can join for free. |

well any chick that listens to the SCORE is likely not attactive, therefore needs help in the dating department. QED |

It's a legit service...I actually met my wife through them. It's basically for older (30+) professionals looking for a mate but who don't want to look in bars. Back when I signed up with them (14 years ago), both men and women had to pay the fee, which was about $1,500 if I recall. IJL sets up the lunch dates at various nice restaurants. The key was that you could usually tell right away if your date just wasn't your type, so you could just have lunch and leave, without any awkwardness (as opposed to trying to ditch a blind date at night). I agree, the commercials on the Score seem to be targeted to women. I'm surprised they are still around with all the match.com type sites that have arisen in the last 10-15 years. |

Profit, sure ... but also very likely keeps the riff-raff out ... so now we know Jaw Breaker is a quality person! When I went in for the initial interview, where they get to know you and you tell them what you're looking for, they tried to set realistic expectations...i.e., don't expect Cindy Crawford. I think I probably disappointed the first few dates I met, as these women were way above my pay grade (one was lawyer who felt the urge to tell me she made $250k). Most were very successful but not what you would call overly attractive. After about six months of dates (which got expensive as each one was at a fancy place) I just about gave up, but then lucked out and found my wife. The guy who introduced me to IJL was in our IT department, and he had the opposite happen. His very first date was his perfect match, but because he had just dropped $1,500 or whatever on the service, he wanted to "get his money's worth," so he continued to ask for more dates...which kind of pissed off that first date, his eventual wife. |

This spot is still better than the rotation they had with the haughty announcer man going "SUUUUUUUURE maybe you'll find a girl ON THE INTERNET HAW HAW HAW like THAT ever works yeah and her dad will be a BILLIONAIRE, toooooo" and so forth. I wanted that guy to jump out of a plane and land on a helicopter. |

And they asked the women what they want and they said "A guy who has $1500 to blow on a dating site" Glad you found your wife though. |
