Shut up you whining baby. http://popwatch.ew.com/2014/01/26/jay-leno-60-minutes-interview/?hpt=hp_t2 You've been terrible at your job for years, and only survived because old people find you non-threatening enough to stay up to watch. You'll go down as the worst host of the Tonight Show and you stood by as it went from the brand in late night to almost complete irrelevancy regardless of whatever ratings you held onto on name recognition on what others before you built. Just be glad you even got the job. Stop whining about how you were mistreated and even now you are being mistreated by being replaced by the far superior Jimmy Fallon. |

Leno probably deserves to be a perpetual DBOTW nominee for the reasons you mentioned, but I do think there's a chance that giggling clown Fallon gives him some competition for worst Tonight Show host. |

Dont like either. The too/two extremes of the bad scale. 1. Leno, with his team of 15 writers cracking one liners, that have the objective of not offending anyone. 2. Fallon and his I just woke up hair do and some really latent homo relationship with Timberlake, dancing and singing every show. |

Nomination fully supported. He's been a total fucking douche since the Conan fiasco . STFU and enjoy the multi millions you've been overpaid to be unfunny and horrible and go lock yourself in your 100 vintage car garage and turn them on and choke you fuck. |

Leno's best things are Headlines and Jaywalking. Neither of which he or his writers have much to do with. I really don't care who hosts any of these shows because I'm sleeping most nights by the time they start. |

He likes to pretend he's not complaining about what happened, but he really is. If he had any dignity, he'd've told NBC to fuck off after they wanted to give him back the Tonight Show when his Primetime show didn't pan out. |

Jay at one time was the funniest stand up working. I think Letterman said the same thing about him recently. I'm kind of in between with Jay. His Tonight Show skits and comedy are very sophmoric and crude. It's like watching the big city version of Hee-Haw. On the other hand,I have seen him twice in person. Once on River Road at the Comedy Womb when he was a youth and a few years ago in Vegas. I enjoyed his act. His gigs on Letterman were very funny before the Tonight Show. I like him as a person, but the Tonight Show has sucked for about 20 or so years now. Carson was bad in his waning years, too. |

I still remember as a shorty when I watched the Arsenio Hall Show, and Hall called Leno a punk ass on live TV....I was like "wow, what did he do?" |

I think the genre of The Tonight Show shows is dying. No one cares about celebrity interviews anymore because celebrities are interview 24 hours around the clock by TMZ and their own Twitters. 20 years ago it was unique. I think that's why kimmel and falon are kind of doing well with young people. The skits they do and the the jokes they set up are funny I really don't need to see celebrities interviewed. I'd like to see someone have the balls to change the format and have celebrity interviews be a sometimes things |

I also take the contrarian view and like Leno although I seldom watch. Headlines are good as is Jaywalking as referenced above. I also agree the format is dying. Say what you want about Leno but he's had a helluva run and he did have one heck of a challenge in replacing Carson and to have done it this long is impressive. |

All of these late night talk shows are passe. The only tolerable one is Ferguson. He actually attempts to deconstruct the medium instead of pandering to some forumla set in stone fifty years ago. Fallon is a shitty interviewer. His bits are kind of funny but he hasn't met one celebrity who he doesn't go insanely gaga over. "Oh my god, dude, we have Robert DeNiro tonight! How awesome is that! Wow, such a big a fan!" Fallon isn't the only one guilty of this but his sincerity seems the most fake. And Letterman's fake sincerity is vomit-inducing because he is a creepy old fuck who wants to bone all these women he swoons over on his show. And what's with the Top 10 list? Was that ever funny? Even in the 80s? Fallon pisses me off with his Macbook on his desk. Hey, guys, I think I'm hip but yet am a boring middle class person like you! #Vanilla Leno had some bits years ago that when I was in college I found amusing. Mr. Brain, Iron Jay, Beyondo. But I was probably high and had nothing else to watch during the week in Champaign. Conan was kind of funny in 1995. He got into the same boring Letterman-esque routine over the years. Same bits, same dumbass I'm-a-weird-looking-ginger jokes. He tried to make himself out to be some victim when he lost The Tonight Show. I thought he came out looking like a bitch. Sure, Leno was douchey and won't admit fault but Conan was still a pussy. Never watched Kimmel's show much. Stupefied to learn it's been on for like 10 years. Big network television will forever remain a mystery to me. |

Nas wrote: I've always been a fan. You all laughed at me before about this. I'll go so far as to say there's nothing terribly more compelling about Letterman vs Leno ... which is tragically depressing because it wasn't always that way and probably shouldn't be that way even now. Like Hatchetman pretty much said, Carson is a god amongst these insects. |

Nas wrote: The Colbert Report and The Daily Show are great. They do something totally different w/ the medium, not only in content, but even w/ their guests. For instance more often than not they have a writer on the show. The last time there was an author (who wasn't a Hollywood Celebrity) on the regular talk shows was probably when Carson was hosting. |
