Ya know the term shutdown corner gets thrown around a lot, and the guy I played with, Deion Sanders was a true shutdown corner. Richard Sherman is the first guy since Deion who I think is a true shutdown corner. He said this about Champ Bailey and Darrel Reavis too. Seems Troy is the one throwing the term around |

Is Sherman really a shut down corner? I consider him a no YAC corner |

Sherman is a shut down corner because they just dont throw at him. The stats prove him correct. Reavis used to be that and at one time Bailey was that good. Last night was not an example. Deion played off people, trying to get QBs to throw to him, then picked it. |

I love Aikman. I think he might have thrown the ball with the best velocity of anyone. The ball got there on a rope. Marino had a quicker release, but Aikman got the ball there not allowing the D Back to break on the Ball/Player and that is a totally under rated part of being a QB. I am really not trying to rip Manning, but he throws some ducks and the big , quick, Seattle secondary ate that shit up. If Denver completed a pass, they got very few YAC |

This article about the denver WR's stats v press coverage is what led me to dropping wagers on every denv WR https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2014/01/27/32-observations-super-bowl-xlviii/ |

He had a rocket arm and the accuracy to go with it most of his career |
