Found out the other day Ground Hog Day was filmed in Woodstock.

Intriguing..... I am looking at a lot of homes that have this boiler bullshit and I don't like it but I know it works.....for hot air. I am not doing window units so I have to have have forced air conditioning. I may just have to hire you for a weekend or 2 to help me re-engineer the whole damn thing.

Radiant floor heating is the shit. It's really awesome. I would do that here if I could. Basically run tube under your floors and heat them up. It's comfortable, not nearly as dry as forced air is and hopefully relatively maintenance free.

I'm not a fan of fin tube heating. It's ugly, it leaks, it freezes on outside walls on super cold days... just an opinion.

The only thing I don't like about boilers is that they don't cool, so you need to have a central ac system anyhow. So, a lot of folks especially in Woodstock jam a Space Pak into the attic and flexlines around the house to provide central cooling. It works, it's just a pain in the dick and most of the rules for airflow are different so you really gotta know what you're doing.

Good to know. I am finishing my basement right now and we are going with tile. I was considering radiant. It's not crazy expensive but I bet it will be an extra 1K. I may just go forward with it now. I will never invite you over to sample it
