They didnt just do this without people knowing, this was announced and a packed event with mostly kids in the front rows. So, plenty of parents had no issue with it.
Remember, these people also eat horse as a delicacy, as in France.

The bullshit part of the whole thing to me seems to be the 'We dont own the animals... thus we cant sell them" OH PLEASE! So, if I put in my request for a rhino ...I can get one if I provide a better home? Guessing not
