Top-down failure is right. It was downright asinine not to put Stan Bowman in charge of Team USA, considering his track record for success. Brian Burke is a doofus and David Poile is the king of first-round outs with both the Hunter/Langway Capitals and now the Predators. Why would you let these two old idiots make a roster? |

Yep, the biggest question was if they could generate enough offense. Leaving Bobby Ryan and Keith Yandle off was a big mistake. |

Especially leaving Yandle off for Jack Johnson, whose eye-popping +/- all but indicates that he gives up a goal every time he has a shift. But Brian Burke had a dream one night that Jack Johnson was on the team, so he made the team. I'm not making this up. |
