He's really just not that good at basketball and I think the interest is more political than sports-related. |

Some people ARE overhyping his talent though. Some idiot writer on Yahoo said he's as good at defending big men as anyone in the NBA in the past 15 years. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-ball- ... --nba.html |

The problem with the media in America nowadays is they have a very short attention span and they think everything is historic just because people are talking about it now. It's sort of like talking to a 15 year old kid who tells you that the greatest movie in the history of mankind is currently playing at your local Cineplex. He has no historical context or perspective beyond his limited viewpoint. |

I think the concept of "what is news" is distorted. The news media focuses on sensationalism. Your basic "Who, what, when, why or how?" is thrown out the window. I think sometimes the news media is trying to make news rather report the news. The focus on what celebrities are saying or doing is not news by itself. Basically a lot of these "news outlets" are doing about the journalistic equivalent of TMZ. They follow the celebrities around with cameras and then they discuss the irrelevant things they said. Every once in a blue moon TMZ breaks a real story that they came across by accident. |

Every journalist or member of the news media who says Tim Tebow should "Shut up and Play" should say the exact same thing to Jason Collins. The reality is Tebow is a 2-time college football champion, Heisman winner and has won 1 playoff game and Jason Collins is the equivalent of Brian Scalabrine. |

What in the hell does Tim Tebow have to do with the Brooklyn Nets signing Jason Collins to a ten day contract? And who is telling Tebow to shut up? To me, it's the networks that needed to shut up about Tebow when he was still playing - he's a failed draft pick and is NFL-irrelevant. In any case there's no connection here... |

I am really proud of you for changing your sexual preference to prove to the gaylords that it is a choice. How many cocks have you sucked? Use protection, bro. I know that Jesus says not to, but chlamydia is real. |

Mini Ditka wrote: SpiralStairs wrote: What are you thoughts on what's happening in the Ukraine right now? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzLtF_PxbYw That seems like an overly-sensationalistic response to a very serious issue. I suggest you read serious news sources, who employ serious reporters, who write serious reports about serious things, rather than post trifle in a vain attempt to draw attention to yourself. |
