When you are down, winning, tied, whichever it is and the other team has the ball and needs to go full court. YOU DONT LET THEM WALK IT UP. YOU PRESSURE THE BALL FROM THE VERY SECOND IT IS INBOUND.

Not a Press, but the man with the ball is never allowed to just walk it up and get set into the offense. Drove me crazy how many teams were not prepared for this scenario.

You dont need to go for the steal, just pressure them into making a bad play or forcing them to use clock so when they get to the top of the key less time is available.

Saw it in way too many games today. Even some of the teams that won, who let others get clean looks at the hoop.

How about teams that are leading by three, late in the game, who let their opponents shoot a three? Foul them, and put them on the line, and they can't tie it up.

I agree, but this goes with not playing pressure D, makes it much easier to foul the guy if you are next to him. Either way, gotta stick man on man.
