An empty park, begging for fans and they have ushers checking tickets every time you get up. They deserve to have an empty ballpark. |

A guy actually just had to hand an armful of food to the usher so he could show her his ticket. Some idiot should be fired. I'll remember this when they beg me to buy tickets. |

There's ten security guys in 162. Either someone is in the wrong seat or they captured an al Qaida terrorist. |

I was thinking of going to a White Sox game this summer if I can get in really cheap. This makes me not want to. I mean, no one's there, shouldn't he remember me? |

I just don't get this line of thinking. Why in the hell would you give anyone shit about moving around in an empty ballpark? I'm thinking about taking the family this year but this kind of shit makes me not want to. |

I knew Jerry Reinsdorf believed in a Broken Window Theory, I just thought his had to do with breaking a window and making the state pay for it. |

It was possibly the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen at a sporting event. When a person would say, "You've checked my ticket four times already" the usher replied, "I know but you need to show it to me each time." I don't blame the poor girl working the aisle. She couldn't be coming up with that policy on her own. Some moron must be telling them to do that. She made people hand her their food so they could get the tickets out of their pockets. If it had been me, I would have walked right by and told her to get her manager. I wonder what would have happened. I probably would have been swarmed by corrupt off-duty cops in white polos with 11th Ward connections. |

If they were going to give you a free ticket it would probably be 500 level for next April, week night only, No Yankees or Red Sox. |

Disappointing to hear, i was gona grab some tickets in couple weeks on the cheap n take my nephews ...assuming it was cool to move up to better seats...guess they don't want my $ I do blame the clown who is instructing ushers to do this..but ya gotta use some common sense as well. All stores n gas stations instruct employees to card everyone buying a tin of dip or alcohol , cigs etc...its rare to encounter a dummy who takes this so literally n cards 40-50 year olds. |

I can understand the guy who is going to argue, "just sit in the seats that you paid for", but that isn't really the point. The vast majority of people are just going to their own seats. It becomes a question of, are you a customer, a guest in this ballpark or are you just some asshole to be milked for money and treated rudely at every turn under the cover of "security" or "order"? I saw Brooks Boyer's executive profile in the Trib last week and it made me sick. That fucker has no clue. |

I've been to probably 20 some games across 3 different ballparks over the last two decades and I can't recall a single time I had an usher check my ticket...and that includes a fucking World Series game. World class service on the south side. |

It has to be that they are getting ready to offer that new app that lets you upgrade your seat in game. Than they can milk the fans like Jorr who brave the elements even more. long gone are the days when at 17 we would get our seats at old Comiskey and run to the left field upper deck and stock up on beer Ahhh those were the days. |

I just don't understand the reasoning , if 7k people are in the park who gives a shit where they sit. |

Post subject: | Re: White Sox |
Even the fucking Alzheimer's patients they use at Wrigley can remember where you're sitting after your first trip to the concession stand. And they have enough sense over there to have them operate under the guise of "assisting to you to your seat" rather than acting as if they're guarding the crown jewels like the idiots on the South side. |

312player wrote: I just don't understand the reasoning , if 7k people are in the park who gives a shit where they sit. It's an order from top down. If you want to pay to sit behind the plate, then thats what you get. If you pay for sect 109, you sit in sect 109. If any media member ever asked the question, it would not be denied, but spun in some fashion that they are doing a job. You cant blame a minimum wage worker who was told to "Make sure the people in the section are those who are to be in the section" Yet, this is where the loyalty to Jerry has the flaw. Simply put, people are scared to do something wrong against the policy handed down for fear of losing a job. do you really think the 25 year old kid from Pilsen gives a shit if you sit behind the plate? Heard this issue discussed many times. Very similar thought process to the Bill Wirtz theory of protecting their season ticket holders with no TV for homes games. |

Hatchetman wrote: Been this way since the "new" park was built. I don't remember it in Comiskey. I've never seen it done to this degree, where a guy carrying two beers and a box of pizza was forced to pull a ticket out of his pocket. I mean, come on. Let's have a little common sense here. I know you want people to sit in the seats they bought, but you should weigh that concern against annoying the shit out of the guy who is just trying to carry food back to his family. The problem with the Sox is they assume every fan is a Ligue. It's the MLB equivalent of the shopkeeper who follows the black guy around the store. |
