I would find it odd (not douchebag worthy) if she compared her situation with the average American. Since she didn't I just see this as kinda an odd thread. I think we both can agree on this.

Telling the world at how she understands the hard life as 'the clintons' were $12 M in debt in legal bills when they left the white house. She of course had to add the issue of how they had to struggle to afford "ALL" their mortgages and chelseas college tuition! Now, I could go on explaining all the angles of how bullshit this is, but anyone that actually thinks she was going to pay those legal bills or that a bank was going to foreclose on them, doesnt understand much. However, I am sure someone will have an oppossing few. FYI, Bill Clinton earned an "UNEXPECTED" $106 mill in speaking fees alone since they left the white house.

An Athlete could actually end a career at any second and many of them are not qualified to do much more, and most will never do anything that earns them nearly the money they can right now, so I am fine with them getting as much as they can while they play. The clintons can poop $50K in appearance fees and they have known that for years, so to say there was any concern in her life over finances is as much of a lie as when she turned $1,000 into $1.8 M in futures when her husband was governor. I dont doubt the Clintons made all the normal cost cutting moves most of the Americans have made to save money. I bet they cut down to only basic cable. Coupons! 1 house! probably only the bare minimum of a staff. cleaning people, driving and secretarial Hamburger helper, no going out for dinner and only 2 vacations a year. Foodstamps? Chelseas Student loan? Just trying to decide which is more laughable, those defending her or her actual story.

BF I'm pretty sure you do well for yourself but if you happen to fall on hard times and your liabilities to assets ratio is 12 to 1 I am confident you are smart enough and know enough people to be able to secure a loan based solely on the potential of your future income. You may even use the subjective term "dead broke" to describe your situation. How does this make the future President Clinton a douchebag? Did she state she was just like every other American or she can understand how the person making $75k feels?

An individual that truely has no money problems and they know they have zero money problems, stating they know what it is like to be "Dead Broke" is a direct attempt to compare her situation to that of so many others that truely no the meaning of DEAD BROKE. In this case, it is such a ridiculous statement, it came back to bite her. If you want to truely believe they had money problems, you can. I don't.

Like I said, she could have just turned her $1000 in cattle futures into $1.8 Mill in 6 months like she did once before.
