I get it is a way to profit from bitter women and deadbeat fathers but there are some lines that shouldn't be crossed. |

Both sexes are exactly identical, so who cares!? Anyways, fathers are dumb and meaningless, just watch any episode of King of Queens. |

God bless my kids mother soul but she has had a very hard time separating parenting and our personal relationship. |

Hallmark should put this in one of their 'Father's Day cards for Mom' next year; Happy Father's Day to all of our Dad's out there. Mom's, you know we love you too. Dunn, 16 long ones on the year, uses a blue bat in honor of prostate cancer. Darrin, have you ever had prostate cancer? No? Yeah. Me neither. So friends, do yourselves a favor and wish your dad, or any dad for that matter, a Happy Father's Day. Its a great day for dad's, thats for sure, friends. |

I am the child of a deadbeat father and I'm pissed by that card. Jeez, the best part of being the son of a deadbeat father was not having to do anything on Father's Day, now they want me to honor my mother...again As a father, I am generally annoyed by the single mothers demanding praise on Father's Day...but not as pissed as my wife is about it. |

I gave up buying cards years ago. I mean none never. Everyone knows my stance and will get a call and/or thoughtful gift or similar in some way. Hallmark or other will never again get my cash. |

how about a DBOTW for hallmark for making up all of these "holidays" do begin with? hallmark holidays are the worst.... they basically take a person and award them merit for an arbitrary thing (being you for another year (birthday), being a woman (valentine's day, mother's day, and if those weren't egregious enough: "sweetest day" because clearly we need yet another "holiday" that says "YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT ME UNLESS YOU BUY ME SHIT") being a man (father's day) or anything else. every year or two i write up a big thing on how valentine's day annoys the fuck out of me, let alone "Sweetest day" because all it does is basically appeal to the social programming bestowed on women from an early age (see the disney princess thing. princess are the animas/archetypes of the female form because they're literally worshipped for just being who they are: a princess) to expect material things from all the guys out for a piece of that ass... and basically it's completely twisted whatever sentiment there was (but then again, how much sentiment is there for a day that celebrates a raging pederast who was so hot-in-the-pants for little boys that he sent them secret little notes to tell them how much he wanted to explode inside of their assholes?) into sheer and utter materialism that says "you don't care about me unless you go out of your way to spend $$$ on me because society mandates that i get something for existing today and therefore all of the 364 other days are worthless unless you show me that you really care and go out of your way to buy me something/s nice. i mean seriously whoever decided that you have to give up 2 months salary on an engagement ring should be equal parts deified and crucified for what they did to society as a whole.... i can't imagine working two whole months with all of the proceeds going to some stupid fucking ring that acts as a sign of ownership from someone else who basically says "this is mine" via some goofy overpriced ring that you rarely wear after the marriage, but you need for that crucial period between engagement and marriage. and i know, the normalcy brigade here is gonna shake their heads and/or scoff like "it's obvious sini doesn't get laid" because they've realized that the cost of doing business in this society of ours is appeasing these programmed-in tendencies and bowing to the face of sheer and utter peer pressure just to fit in with the next guy.... but it's a whole crock of bullshit. especially in a society as a whole that acts as a giant pyramid scheme for those capstone motherfuckers who basically own us and let us continue to live at their behest out of nothing but the kindness of their hearts (even tho that was said quite sarcastically, i still thank them for these last 30+ eyars and however many more before they decide the world can do without a few billion people and wipe them out because it's not personnel anymore... it's human resources. and who or what are you a resource for? and why?) don't answer those questions tho. just get dad a $5 card that says "i have no idea how to emote for you so i'm going to pay some assholes $5 to make a card that says "i care about you enough to throw money at fake sentimentality in lieu of not having anything emotional to say to you" along with the tie and socks that say "i'm saving up the wad for christmas, but for now i just have to make sure that you're as appreciated as everyone else because if 6bil people are all walking off of a cliff, trust me, it's better to walk off of the cliff as 1/6bil as opposed to being the hipster asshole like "walking off the end of a cliff is so tryhard * tips fedora *" and then the kids nowadays are trained to call you an autist for having the audacity to exist in your own world where you don't bow to groupthink/groupspeak/etc. </threadkilla> out |
