I was forced to listen to him today. His tirade at 4:30 about the Little League World Series makes me hate him even more. Fucking dude can not even enjoy what little happiness there is this summer in Chicago sport. Fucking dude if you can not enjoy this then go off yourself and do the world a favor

His son plays abseball and he is part of the Welles Park, a very well respected organIzation, so he must know what he is talking about.

if little JB was on a traveling team that advanced he would be there and it would be non stop the topic of the show!

With the exception of ESPN running closeup shots and the search for the crying kid, it is one of the best things going.

It should not be on front of SI.
Should not be a feel good story lauding the kids for a sports achievement. He just dragged them down,said it was pandering and flag waving of the lowest form. Find the podcast and listen I was around 430

Personally, I find it weird that people that don't know these kids are watching them on ESPN, looking for them to bring them happiness. They are 12yr old kids playing in a KIDS league. They don't represent chicago baseball. They are not suppose to entertain us. This experience should be ALL about them. Not waiting for your ESPN tweet to see if your favorite little player hit a homerun or how many strike outs he had.

Sports Illustrated and sister magazine Time will put anything on their cover they think will create a buzz and sell extra mags. In the case of Time, sometimes it's in really bad taste.

SI is just stupid as always. And their East Coast bias lives on. Remember years ago when the cover story was titled, "What's Wrong with the Mets?" Most of the country didn't give a rat's ass regarding Mets woes.

God forbid that they put some Midwesterners on their cover -- why not Chicago little-leaguers?

Sean Burroughs was on David Letterman (by himself) when his team won it and told Letterman that he wanted to be a gynecologist when he grew up.
