First of all, beating a 1 year old is bad. So, Reggie Bush gets an obvious nomination.

He then compounds it with the second part.

http://deadspin.com/reggie-bush-admits-to-harshly-disciplining-his-1-year-1635845101

I could have put this in an Adrian Peterson thread but I think it is different enough. Reggie Bush, while saying he beats his 1 year old, also referenced "Due Process" multiple times.

Let's all say this 5 times.
"Due Process" does not matter in non-legal matters when you have admitted to doing something.

Adrian Peterson has admitted to beating his child and giving him injuries all over his body. He is still allowed "Due Process" in a court of law but no one else needs to abide by it. We can convict Adrian Peterson, and now Reggie Bush, of their deplorable actions right now. We can't put them in jail but we know that they are both people who committed serious wrong acts.

Even if Peterson is found not guilty in a court of law, he still isn't granted "Due Process" in regards to how he should be treated and viewed.

In fairness, he tries not to leave bruises on his one year old.

I most definitely discipline my daughter. I have a 1-year-old daughter, and I discipline her. Obviously, every person is different, and I definitely will use my best judgement to discipline her depending on the situation and what happens. I definitely will try to obviously not leave bruises or anything like that on her, but I definitely will discipline her, harshly, depending on what the situation is.

What can a 1-year-old possibly do that needs disciplining? Aren't they essentially still babies?

Maybe she shouldn't have talked back in her baby language.

Bad NFL parents ranked:
1) Jay Cutler
2) Reggie Bush
3) Adrian Peterson

Are they arguing for "Due Process" in terms of allowing these guys to play while waiting for the legal/law to be decided?

Clearly a result of their privileged upbringing being fed by hand and chauffered around in their Cadillac strollers.

BTW, saw I an infant which I'm guessing was around at most a year old being held in his/her fathers arms with headphones at Riot Fest. WTF is wrong with people.

I have a one year old at home right now. There is literally nothing they can do that warrants corporal punishment. I'll lightly smack their hands if they reach for the stove, outlets, stuff like that... I dont see how spanking them could accomplish a damn thing.

Really? Some people shouldn't have kids. I had a 1 year old every other year at one point and I couldn't imagine seeing a reason to whoop them. Child proof the sockets and worse case you tap their hand and say no.

Can I get a size on the stroller that I know they had along also before I make my decision?

um... he didn't admit to beating his kid in the court of law. you can say anything you want, to whomever you want, cops included. nothing happens until you admit it in court. aka, due process.

youre entire point sucks hippo dong

No. That is laughably incorrect on multiple levels.

First of all, he has admitted to hitting his kid with a switch by a statement from his lawyer.
Second, he testified as such to a grand jury.
Third, there is evidence of him in text message form too.

Are you saying police interviews aren't admissible in court?

He is granted "Due Process" in regards to a criminal conviction. He does not have a right to "Due Process" in anything else.

Why don't you go tell a cop that you are doing things illegally and then tell him he can't do anything about it because you didn't admit it in court.

No, I don't have any sympathy for these guys. They dug their own graves.

At the same time, I don't like the Bernstein approach of firing everyone, etc. without knowing all of the facts.

He's guilty in the court of public opinion, will lose money on endorsements, but Peterson (like Rice) have great lawyers and they aren't likely to see the punishment that people like us would get.

Nothing obnoxious. Baby could probably fall asleep in the stoller and it can carry a diaper bag.

I was more amazed it was 7:15pm and they were in the crowd at a rock festival with a baby. The air is a cocktail of weed, tobacco and farts plus the loud ass music. Find a baby sitter losers.

backpedaling pretty quickly, not surprisingly...

Quote:
"Obviously I'm not going to be spanking a 1-year-old girl," Bush said. "We do discipline her a little bit because she does this thing now where if she doesn't like something of if you say something to her she doesn't like, she kind of swings at you.

"So we're already starting to implement little things like talking to her and saying that's not OK. I think obviously people took it too far and [said] I was doing much worse and that's not the case."
