Marshall got nothing on a player the Bears had about 20 years ago on their roster. I believe his name was "Art Best" but I'm not sure. He was arrested for jumping on his pregnant wife's stomach and "dancing" on it.

I watched it and didn't think it was horrible but he was under the impression they were going to give
some time to discuss a camp he started for kids and they never touched any of that. They only focused
on all of the legal trouble he had gotten into and skated.

He is victim blaming. He isn't taking any responsibility for his own actions. He is playing into the same "She just wanted money". He's using other crimes against family members as a cover for his own horrible actions.

Basically, everything he "claimed" about being cured is a lie.

This press conference cannot be defended.

For one, it never had to happen.

Ultimately, what was the point? He was disparaging the girlfriend he abused and discussing openly on multiple occasions his entire family's history of sexual abuse. There was no reason for him to discuss any of this. Nobody was talking about Brandon Marshall.

His only main point seems to be "don't rush to judgment on Ray Rice or Hardy or any of these guys being accused". Is that a message that needs to get out there right now?

I guess any time you present your side of the story it is going to be perceived as victim blaming. Just send the accused to the electric chair then.

He just said he was upset because ESPN did that special without even mentioning his charity. That alone comprised about 5% of today's press conference. THAT'S why he deserves a DB. He could have simply issued a statement saying such.

He literally blamed the victim and basically said she was just trying to extort money out of him even though there is huge amounts of evidence.

He even admitted previously that he made mistakes.
