Raking might be worse than painting, and painting is awful.

My yard is next to a goddamn forest preserve... but I ended up just mowing after raking for 10 minutes. It looks like shit.

One of these years they will invent a machine that blows the leaves into a pile, therefore eliminating the need to rake them

Denied. Yellowish leaves on the ground contribute to awesome fall scenery. Fall is the best.

Sounds like you are lazy. Same here so I hired a lawn service this Summer. Anyone want to buy a nice Snapper lawnmower?

Leaves don't piss me off as much as Jay Cutler does.

Haha. First one due in December. Will I enjoy the solitude after we have her?

You have to wait until they are 3 until they are really effective at picking up leaves/child labor.

Oh... Got it now. Yeah, I suppose I'll have to wait until she can crawl before I ask her to rake.

You should be able to. She won't interrupt sex time for a couple years. After that sex time will have to be worked around her schedule.

It's not labor. It's FUN.

You could attach a small rake to her and have her crawl on the lawn, but I find they just don't cooperate.

I of course would never do anything like child labor to my kid. God knows she picked up every bit of my laziness and ability to come up with excuses.

"What is the best reason to have your toddler do manual labor?"

And congrats for the kid on the way. Despite what people say, they are a blessing. They do change your life, but you just have to stay positive or its easy to find all the issues and drive yourself insane.

Girls are definitely more challenging & higher maintenance than Boys. But becoming a parent should be a life changing experience that changes your outlook on life & your priorities. Then you fast forward 20 some odd years when they move out on their own & that too is a life changing experience!
Congrats.

Post subject:  Re: Leaves

What really sucks is in my backyard ALL the leaves are from my neighbors tree which hangs over my yard. I don't care though because they get taken care of by my lawn guys.
