Just heard another scintillating CBS Sports minute, where some rod-hole reminded us how important sports were after 9/11. They served as a distraction for this barge fuck.

Ohhhhh goooood for you. Many people's lives were devastated, all of our lives were changed, but, this ass-jag was distracted by a game, so, it's all good for him.

Go ram yourself, you self-important pompous pencil-pushing hump.

9/11 distracted Cubs fans from the reality of another losing season.

Yeah it was a historical season for Ron Coomer.

John Feinstein has done the last couple of these 9/11 "CBS Sports Minutes" and has yet another one after Mac & Spiegs crosstalk with Bernsy & Goff, subbing for Boers today.

I'm Jim Gray with a CBS Sports Minute. On 9/11, we were not in heaven, indeed, it was hell on earth as the Twin Towers were two: structurally compromised to stand, and the Pentagon was a five: alarm fire. In the wake of the disaster, we thought we were asleep, and that we would escape this nightmare. But that was not the case, and the case was not brief, as the suffering went on for days and weeks, if not months and years. But soon, we would be let to eat cake, as there was a Marie for our calendar of misery: it is that to which I refer, of course, is sports. The intercourse of baseball brought us together as it had previously pulled us apart, and we came to realize our love for each other. Though the Yankees were unable to avenge 9/11 in the World Series, they reminded us how to wear a shirt, a slogan, and a sentiment: I Love New York.

Jim Gray doesn't do those "CBS Sports Minutes". Hearing him at halftime of Dial Global Radio's "Monday Night Football" is bad enough.

I remember being surprised that America's most popular sport was cancelled so that Baseball could heal the nation. We were all Yankees.

The only reason I knew 9/11 happened was that I turned on ESPN to watch a Champions League soccer game and the news was on instead. Otherwise I would have just kept playing NCAA 01 on PS2 all day. Thanks sports for helping me remember!

It wasn't the most popular decision for the sports world, but it was the right thing looking back, especially given all the mourning and grieving that entire week following the terrorist attacks.

I was actively rooting for Arizona and that shitty Korean closer of theirs. Good old Kim.

Congrats, Lipid. You and the terrorists won.

I just heard about 9/11. That's truly a horrible thing and I will be talking to the team about it this afternoon.
