Out driving last night and I turn to WBBM for a sports update at 7:15PM. It's Ofman on fucking tape. He doesn't even have the final of the Cowboys game in his report. Same thing at 7:45 PM too. 50000 Watt All News station can't be bothered to have a live voice early evening? Wtf Ron, the new budget constraints to fault for this or Terry Keshner buried in his car in a snowbank? |

I still recall the HFC voice impression of Ron Gleason, and the snide remarks of the highly touted Northwestern education. |

Curious Hair wrote: Could have stopped at "It's Ofman" They didn't even have a reporter at the Hawks game. That's all Ron's doing. besides, George has been taping his updates for like 20 years now. Working an extra minute an hour is taxing. |

remember that Offman leaving early was the genesis of the phrase "circus jerkus time" No one has had an easier career that George. It may not be high paying but there are people slaving for lower wages. |

Then he got soft and quit going to games and his free lance cash went to Schuster and Les. He makes less than half of what he made in his heyday. |

You can forgive Gleason for skimping on sports if he's allocating that money toward hard-news operations. Is he? |

I was more referring to not sending a reporter to the Winter Classic and stuff, but it is interesting how WBBM itself barely pays anyone. |
