Today of all fucking days. Had a ton of family stuff this morning that was cancelled, going to miss the yearly super bowl party with friends and can't pick up my kid's babysitter until tomorrow morning. Only positive was seeing people trying to use innertubes on the sledding hill and then seeing said innertube get blown three damned miles away by the wind.

It was bad enough up by me, I knew you guys were getting hammered. I am sure Hank is liking life though.

I think we got over a foot. I had some 3 foot drifts in my driveway. Took me two hours to clear driveway this morning. Haven't seen a plow down my street since 1pm yesterday. Totally stranded right now. 4 ft wall of snow at the end of the street connecting to main road

The end of your driveway is really going to suck after the plow comes thru. We had to have around 8 inches or so up by us, I know it wasn't as much as you folks down south.

I got stuck about 20 times. I'm thankful that the snow was soft. If was able to shovel myself out.

When the SUVs in the alley are stuck, you know you made the right decision to shovel out your 4-banger FWD Honda from girlfriends' house last night at 1am. I got home to the Cultural Mecca just fine by following a salt truck. :eye:
Today? Super Bowl/Snow day.

did you call your village/city's public works dept? If you are polite on the phone i bet you'd get a response.

They swung through about 10:45 and I was at work by 11:15 after clearing the end of the driveway. We are always
last as we are not a thoroughfare. I had never had this much snow at my current address at one time so I guess we
were last in line.

Well it is good to know now. If a big storm is coming and I need to be somewhere the next day
now I can plan for it a bit better.
