they say the farmers do... which those people are the smallest percentage of the population yet they have the largest lobbying group in washington. why cant they just start work an hour earlier in the summer and leave the rest of us the fuck alone? there are countless studies that prove daylight savings is a complete waste and it only hurts peoples productivity.

if anything, keep dst the normal time all year round. i like it being lighter out towards 9pm

I like the fact it gets darker later, during the winter it sucks to come into work in the dark and go home in the dark.

Daylight Saving Time is fine, it's Standard Time that's a bitch.

I'm fine with it. If we didn't have the change here, during May and June it would be full daylight at like 4:30am and dark by 7.

Post subject:  Re: This Here Daylight Savings Time Thing

I figured we all were on the same page that it is Standard Time that is bullshit.

It was put in place to help conserve energy years ago as it led to an extra hour of light when people were normally up. Had nothing to do with farming. A 430 sunrise with a 730 sunset in late June would suck

Also, Chicago gets shafted by being on the far eastern edge of our time zone. You go to Michigan in June, and its light until almost 10pm. I remember a couple of years back up there starting a round of golf at like 6 or 6:15, and being on the 18th green at 10pm with just enough daylight left to putt out.

Nobody even knows what time it is in Arizona. Geographically it looks like it could be Mtn or Pacific and they also dont observe DST.

Those dolts in Indiana felt pretty much the same way. They also wear a lot of earth tones.

Simple indeed.
