It is pretty dumb. They pander to people who don't know the game and bar patrons. It does highlight the framing and umpire though. Overall it's not helpful or accurate

The umpires union has to absolutely hate it

those overly sensitive assbags are lucky no MLB teams play replays of close calls on the jumbotron... very frustrating as a fan at the game to not be able to see the play again... another reason to stay at home and watch on TV

Weren't they up in arms over Ques Tec? As for the K-Zone, I thought it was okay. Took a few innings to get used to it, but after that I found it to be pretty useful.

Sucks. Having said that, I'm sure that all of the negative reaction they'll get just means that not only will they keep it, they will "enhance" it by color-coding it, or superimposing sponsorship, or something else even more annoying.

Loved it. It told an important story about the strike zone last night. You might be able to pick that up if they show it every so often, but seeing how it was consistently huge let the viewer see why there was big implications to how the pitchers pitched and the batters selected pitches.

Just show it on a replay of a close pitch.

Houseful last night, mix of die hards and casual fans. All loved it.

It just doesn't represent an umpire's zone though. As much as I disliked how large last night's zone was - it was consistent. And a consistent zone is acceptable.

ESPN doesn't adjust their strike zone display. So it ended up becoming simply inaccurate.
