So what? They are 8 or so? Don't be the clicky douche or the guy that makes some little girl give up softball because you made her feel like crap. Be the coach that gives her a sense of accomplishment and the team the everybody wants to play on. The people that want to be on winning teams or make winning teams are widely considered assholes by everybody else.
not cuz they win or beat everybody but because they truly are assholes.

So dumb.
Coaches and parents shouldn't have to win. If they want to win instill that in their kids not make 3-4 kids carry a team.
I quit and hate basketball to this day because of a douchey coach. My son, at 10, said all done with baseball because of some dick coach moves.

Did any of the kids care that they lost?

They were too busy talking about the snack, which I also fucking hate.

The jewel pop and pretzels was the best part of little league.

We didn't get snacks, just jewel pop. Remember the old cans? Had a solid color with a contrasting wheatable shape colored thing about 2/3rds of the way up the can. Good stuff. Now it's all organic juice and fruit.

The hell with that.

Our school once tried to have a healthy bake sale. No one bought anything. Back to brownies and cookies for the monthly bake sale.

A Nectarine Pavlova may seem a daring choice, but keep in mind it is gluten and nut free.

You would THINK that would be the case, right?

If they were competitive about things that matter they wouldn't be living in Alsip.

regular season is for chumps

let every kid have his day in the regular season while determining your best lineups for the playoffs then...BAM!

This is quite true, however, I already know my best lineup.

If I fielded that squad, it would have probably been a slaughter-rule shutout like we had when we played this team the Saturday before last.

so then use the regular season as the feel good for lesser players, eliminating any bitching at money time

Our first game is this coming Friday and I love our team

We do have a couple girls that aren't too interested in softball but they all get along well, they're all friendly with each other and they all listen veary well.

The best part is that we have about 14 kids and each of them has gotten significantly better thru practice.

We do have two girls that are just huge and crush the ball and throw heat . Part of the challenge will be using them properly without over doing it.

We have two little girls. (Tiny even for their age) with HUGE personalities. Leading cheers, leading stretches. Good times.

8U. Inning-halfs automatically end at 5 runs.

Yeah were 8u too. Same rules.

Reading the rule book I was laughing at some of the rules that were clearly made because people are insane.

Lots of stuff on protesting and its procedure. They attach a fee so people won't overdo it. Who the fuck is protesting multiple 8 year old softball games ?

I'm guessing Rah Rah Rah, pitcher wears a bra isn't acceptable bench jockeying any longer?
