ok you realize that "cutesy" posts like that are essentially the board-equivalent of being a bit gay for me, right?

btw i love how i gave you a proper nickname (ernie, aka MR. CSFMB, who needs a goddamn hat/signature to remind everyone of his status at all times) and now you're trying to make one stick for me. sooooooo cute. wanna go whip our CoCs out later, or do you wanna just say fuck it and play some starcraft like the way god intended it?

I will admit it. I read the entire original Comcast post.

What did Comcast do...in truncated fashion?

What does ernie mean?

Like Ernie Banks and his "I'm Mr. Cub" hat, sinicalypse alleges that Darkside trumpets his "I'm Mr. Chicago Sports Fan Message Board" status in a similar manner.

Comcast outsourced his call to an incompetent Indian and made him deal with lots of upselling bullshit, basically.

when i hear a foreign accent, i already know the call is going to wind up being a waste of time. it's not their fault, they're trained in a certain way. They're just doing their job...the problem is they never seem to relate to my issue. one time i had an issue with a stop payment with chase, and they wrote down the wrong check number and didn't stop payment on it. the guy on the phone, definitely eastern european (polish or czech) just gave me the spiel "i am here to provide superior service for you and that is my promise". well, good for you...he wound up not helping me at all. and still said "have an excellent day". yeah, it wasn't so much. it was such a trained and robotic response that i would've had a better chance with an automated system. at least then i know i'm dealing with computers.

Exactly. When I hear a foreign accent I just hang up now and call back in a few minutes. Usually I get a free blooded American on the other end and it goes much much smoother.

Is what it is.

Ask to speak with somebody in the United States, and they will transfer you.

just do everything yourself. run the wires, mount the box you need outside, ground it, setup your tv stuff inside. tell them to come out and hook it up, and once the outside is physically connected tell them to leave. then call the support number and give them the mac address on the modem. power on modem, then power on your router and it will work.

I think he is saying "take it easy" is not hip hop it's classic rock. Ask mac, I am sure he can give you a rock history report on Eagles songs.
