"anxiety, depression, and stress"

if that gets you special treatment for exams they're going to have to re-imagine test taking procedures for all other college students

If Richie Daley had taken similar advice upon his educational failures we would have been denied the stewardship and largesse of Chicago's greatest mare.

A very good remedy is spending 3 months in a steel mill as a laborer.

Let's say she becomes a nurse. Does she get extra time to do time sensitive things? Or does she get to phone a friend in the emergency room?

Every time somebody recommends a doctor, he's always the best. "Oh, is he
good?" "Oh, he's the best. This guy's the best." They can't all be the best.
There can't be this many bests. Someone's graduating at the bottom of these
classes, where are these doctors? Is somewhere, someone saying to their friend,
"You should see my doctor, he's the worst. Oh yeah, he's the worst, he's the
absolute worst there is. Whatever you've got, it'll be worse after you see him.
He's just, he's a butcher. The man's a butcher."?

wow... there are documentaries that to get a phd you go through unbelievable stress and lack of sleep... many people just drop out because they cant handle it...

but this bitch was just going for RN, which is nothing compared to phd... and ever her classmates said "maybe its just not for her".

she needs to go get her daycare license and stop clogging up the court system.

While getting my PhD, I would be stressed out about getting a job and dreaming of going back to undergrad like in Old School.
After I got my PhD, I had a fixed term position looking for a tenure track position, and was stressed out because I only had a one year contract with a baby on the way. I wanted to go back to grad school and would have in a heart beat.
On the tenure track, I was diagnosed with TMJD, grinding my teeth to the point I would eventually grind two teeth down to nothing. I would get grind guards and grind through them once every two months or so from the anxiety and stress. I dreamed of going back to grad school.
Now that I'm tenured all those years of chronic stress led me to generalized anxiety disorder (basically, I feel anxiety with no real cause, it sucked/sucks).
I do nothing that involves saving peoples' lives or life and death situations. This student will never be a nurse and if she does become a nurse, I will find out where she is working and make sure that I never go there (after all, this story is in my neck of the woods).

Oh, and I survived without any special accommodations because I knew that the real world doesn't give you special treatment for these types of issues (I would have loved a less strenuous tenure-track demand because of anxiety). If you can't hack it, you shouldn't do it.
