I'm going to straight-up lift someone else's summary of this attention whore of a Caller Bob (that's about as Christian as I can get with the description) and what her deal is. You'll just shit as this goes along; enjoy. Rachel Dolezal, 37, is the leader of the Spokane branch of the NAACP. She attended an HBCU and teaches African studies part time at Eastern Washington University. She claims to be black and has made this a part of her racial identity. She has also made several claims of being racially discriminated against, and receiving racist threats, as a black person, although the police have not been able to verify her claims (which is not uncommon with verbal racism). She has appeared on panels and news networks speaking on racial discrimination. She also writes a column on race relations for the Inlander, a local alternative newspaper. This is disputed by her parents, who claim she begin to represent herself as black in 2006 or 2007. Her Montana birth certificate lists her (and her parents) as Caucasian (this is according to Spokane news network KXLY, a CNN affiliate, who were provided the birth certificate by her parents. Her actual birth certificate is not public, AFAIK). Childhood pictures (example) have also been provided by her parents. When asked "Are you African-American?" by a reporter, she responded with "I don't understand the question" and walked away. She also responded with "We're all from the African continent." Beyond disputing her racial identity, her parents also claim she's lied about being abused as a child, living in South Africa, growing up in a teepee, and having a black son (who they claim is her adopted brother). The reaction has been varied somewhat. Many wonder what was the point of her attempting to pass as black. It's important to note that everything she's done, she could have done as a white person. She would not have been the first white NAACP leader, nationally or locally. She definitely wouldn't have been the first white person to attend a HBCU or teach African studies. Some people are arguing that if she self identifies as black, she should be considered so. Some are also using the term transracial, similar to the term transgender. This ignores that gender dysphoria is a real medical diagnosis with biological causes, not a choice, and that there is no analogous racial dysphoria. Nor has passing as white ever been an option for most minorities. Finally, many are put off by her claims of racial discrimination as a black person. |

Really, this story is a great illustration of how dumb the entire concept of race is to begin with. |

What she identifies as is a dipshit. |

To be fair, the guy was only trying to be level about explaining what the story was, not in any way granting it any validity. And I suspect "some people" means asswipe professionally-offended SJWs who wouldn't and couldn't put together a cogent argument for love or money. Whenever the next great plague or horrible circumstance comes around spreading ruination everywhere, one might consider taking comfort that some on the business end of the calamity will likely be some of those folk. |

BTW, at Lakemoorfest this year I may or may not self-identify as Asian. |

pittmike wrote: Why can't you be who you want to be and what your feelings tell you? Why can't you ever get the point on the first try? Nobody really gives a damn if she wants to pretend she's white, black, Martian, or that she's a taco that shits ice cream. She literally lies about being black, having a black father, growing up black, having to endure racist encounters because she's black, listing herself as black or biracial, and is butthurt about not being allowed to literally make shit up with impunity. Perhaps there are more fun examples of her egoist escapades, but that's all I've happened to ahve seen today and for me is more than enough for her to be ushered quite gruffly faux-nappy-headlong into the nearest woodchipper. |

My bad Hawger. The #AskRachel hashtag is the funniest shit I've seen in a while. My thing is, she's actually trying to do good. It just sucks that she had to lie about being black. |

I have a confession to make. For years I was the leader of "Latinos of America". I'm not Latino. I was able to pull it off for years. How did I get discovered? I was very funny in the club house. That's how I was outed and fired. I'm still proud of all of the good I did, however. |

Now that I think about it. what's the harm? If Bruce Jenner can become a women, why can't she become black? Jenner is being celebrated. So should she. |
